Cylindrical Digester Tank

I.FAULT /FAILURE OF CAPACITY

Generalization:
Based on the available composite material of the Digester
Tank, which expected to carry loads of more about 265 cubic meter of manure
wastes, will fail due to followings. A). Block member interconnectivity of each
plate was inappropriate for the expected loads. B).Welding distance on
connections as well as thickness of the plates is substandard in procedure.

II. RECOMMENDATIONS
Analysis:
1. Provide Retrofitting procedure for the whole Digester Tank
2. Improve Block member Connectivity by providing
additional support.
3.Improve joint connections by intermittent welding
connection.

III. PROPSED RETROFITTING PROCEDURE

1. Connects all joint plate by intermittent welds 1inch x 2inches clear gap
2.Provide additional inside and outside belt plate with intermittent welds
of 5cm x 5cm clear gap.
3.Provide seepage protection support.
