CONCURRENT ECONOMICS
An excellent economics education and fine professional training accompany a degree in business
economics. You will focus on problem analysis and management skills needed both inside and outside of
the business world.

I. Non-Business majors will need the following prerequisites and others as required Hours
Economics 1010 Principles of Macroeconomics 3
Economics 1020 Principles of Microeconomics 3
Math 2350 or 2200 Business Calculus or Calculus I 4
Math 2355 or 2205 Math Applications or Calculus II 4
III. Economics Electives at the 4000 level which have not been used to meet any other requirements
Refer to the appropriate class schedule for courses offered. EXCLUDES ECON 4420.

Concurrent Majors
Students may pursue a concurrent major in one or more colleges. Only one degree (BA, BS, etc.) will be awarded from
the college of the primary major. All university curricular requirements, including the University Studies Program
requirements must be met only once. Requirements for secondary major(s) will be established by the academic
departments and may include college requirements, in addition to all major requirements. An academic adviser in each
major is required and each advisor must review requirements. The degree will be granted on one date only and only one
diploma will be awarded. Both majors will be indicated on the academic transcript and diploma.
