Abstract
This study investigates the point of view of the students, of the English Department
at the Faculty of Science and Arts, towards creative writing as a new trend in
teaching writing and the use of language. Simple random sampling, cluster and
systematic sampling techniques were used to select the students. Students of levels
five, six and seven in English department were used in the study and the sample
comprised 30 students (on an equal distribution of the three levels. The research

Study Area:
The study was conducted in English Department of the Faculty of Science and Arts
in Sharourah .
