A1) I think math is all around us, in everything we do. It is the

buiding block of our daily lives. The mobile phones we use,

architecture, art, sports, nature and even kitchen.

Q2) Can you say math is applied to Vedas?

A2) Yes, we have Vedic math. The methods used in Vedic math

were rediscovered from the Vedas itself.

A3) For me, Vedic math is a method that can be used to make

complex calculations easy and fast.

A4) It is a learning that helps you explore more and think logically

behind every reason.

A1) I think Vedic math was discovered in the early 20th century by

Shri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji.

Q2)Is Vedic math similar to Arithmetic?

A2) Vedic math just makes arithmetic easy.

It is all about mental calculation and you do not have to solve the

long equations as per the given method, you can do it mentally and

in lesser time.

Q3) Should schools incorporate Vedic math along with regular

curriculum?

A3) If schools would start incorporating Vedic math, it would be


great. Students will find a method of doing fast calculations that

will help them in future.

Q4)Is Vedic math an outdated concept?

A4) Vedic math is till date used but it has become less important

for the technology has become so advanced that almost everything

we do is calculator based and there are not much calculations to do

mentally.

A1) For me, Vedic math is a method that can be used to make

Q2) Is Vedic math a scientific and logical discipline?

A2) Everything in Vedic math works in a methodical way. You have

to be logical and systematic to get the correct answer. It is also a

scientific discipline for if you follow the correct rules, the final

answer will be accurate that is it matches the written calculations.


Also, just like facts of science are general truths, the formulas of

Vedic math were researched, experimented and then derived.

Q3) Has the popularity of Vedic math increased or decreased in

schools with time?

A3) If you talk about our school, popularity has only increased with

time for students want to explore more about Vedic math as it will

be very beneficial for them.

Q4) What do you find most interesting in Vedic math?

A4) What I like the most about Vedic math is that it does not

bound the people into following only one method. It allows us to be

inventive as we can derive our own methods and be creative.

Q5) Does Vedic math have any day to day applications?

A5) Vedic math reduces the computational steps required to

achieve the result. The designers have implemented many

computer architectures based on Vedic math.
