A Japanese SME is looking for European distribution partners for their innovative earthquake early warning system.

Their earthquake sensor alarm device can issue an alert before the arrival of a strong earthquake. The built-in
accelerometer detects primary waves and issues an earthquake alert before the arrival of the seismic strong shaking by
the secondary waves.

The device has specialised software to distinguish between earthquakes and noise generated near the device, which
means it does not issue erroneous alerts and as a result, prevents from financial loss. The device can issue alerts in 11
languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Persian, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic.

The device can be easily integrated into existing building control systems and it can send the signals to control
broadcasting facilities, elevators, production facilities etc. in accordance with the estimated seismic intensity level of the
earthquake.

This company has a long experience with earthquake warning systems. The device has been perfected through multiple
trials.

They are aiming at a distribution agreement with partners in Europe active in risk, disaster, building and facility
management, especially in earthquake-prone countries.

In comparison with other devices, this device:

- is strong in distinguishing between earthquake and noise generated near the device through its software algorithms that
have been extensively tested (precision of 0.1 gal, unit of gravitational acceleration) and can use multiple checkpoints. In

- is very customizable in terms of the alerts that it can send. Sirens can be connected, as well as broadcasting facilities,
PC displays and industrial facilities. Also, existing building control systems can be connected.

- has multi-language support: voice announcements are pre-programmed in 11 languages and ready to be used, while
other devices only have a limited number of languages available for announcements.

- provides after the alert a map of the situation in a 100 km radius that can be immediately observed on a PC screen in
order to locate the best area for to find shelter.

While other equipment often requires a lengthy and difficult installation procedures, the device of this company can be set
up easily by non-experts through a simple personal computer connection, not through a complicated setup procedure on
the device itself.
