What is a GS-sign?
• The GS-sign means „certified safety“ and is assigned of the construction government safety organisation in D (accident insurance, H&S
inspections)
• The operation inspection is similar with the type test
• The static calculations will be certified from the test engineer and are a precondition for the issue of a GS-sign
• For the GS-sign an operating instruction is required (User information); attachment only necessary by law in D; other countries: own
interest)
• Advantage: The customer receives a system, which is certified incl. the instruction.
GSV – formwork (quality protection association - formwork)
GSV is an association (formwork producer since 1993)
Aim and goal:
• Agreement of quality and capacity characteristics for frame formwork, which has indicated the bearing
capacity (concrete pressure) in dependence of the allowed bending acc. ÖN/DIN 18202
• It is ensured that the formwork stand the indicated concrete pressure and meet the required minimum
standard of used material.
Doka products and services lead the field in quality, functionality and safety
Market:
Importance of safety & occupational health is increasing, due to Health & Safety
Coordinators; Labour Inspectorate; HSE Plan
Side protection: increasingly, certified boards are being required
EN 13374 compliant identification marking on the product (manufacturer, class,
year & month of manufacture)

Quality and Confirmations Certificates
What is a CE-sign?
If there is any danger for life or health of the user because of the construction method or
effectiveness, products must be signed with the CE-sign.
• Base is the EG-guideline „Machine“ 89/392/EWG. This guidline provides with the country-
specific standards. A „machine“ is the entirety of connected parts, at least one of them
must be flexible, as well as control, control loop and energy loop etc., which are connected
for a certain application.
• Machine guideline for machines – the whole, which is flexible – and separate lifting
accessories
• CE – sign
• Assigned by producer
• The producer confirmes by conformity certificate that the product fulfil all
applicable regulations. Therefore a statics and risk analysis must be carried out.
Content:
Reference to the operation start, the application, service notes, wastage, disposal etc.
Expressed in the operation instruction is an agreement certificate of the producer. This is necessary
because of the CE-sign.
