ֵ ‫ַוּי ְַק‬ ‫ָּד ִויד‬ ‫ּכָ ל ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫ׂשָ ֵרי ־‬ ‫יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל‬ ‫ׂשָ ֵרי‬ ‫ַה ְּׁש ָב ִטים‬

‫ְוׂשָ ֵרי‬ ‫ַה ַּמ ְח ְלקת‬ ‫ַה ְמׁשָ ְר ִתים‬ ‫ַה ֶּמלֶ  ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫ְוׂשָ ֵרי‬ ‫ָהאֲלָ ִפים‬ that ministered to the king
by course, and the captains

over the thousands, and
and·chiefs-of the·apportionments the·ones-mministering » the·king and·chiefs-of the·thousands
captains over the hundreds,
and the stewards over all
‫ְוׂשָ ֵרי‬ ‫ַה ֵּמאת‬ ‫ְוׂשָ ֵרי‬ ‫כָ ל‬ ‫ּומ ְקנֶה ־ ְרכּוׁש ־‬
ִ  ֶ‫לַ ֶּמל‬ the substance and
u·shri e·mauth u·shri kl - rkush - u·mqne l·mlk possession of the king, and
and·chiefs-of the·hundreds and·chiefs-of all-of goods and·cattle to·the·king of his sons, with the
officers, and with the
‫ּול ָבנָיו‬
ְ ‫ִעם‬ ‫יסים ־‬
ִ ‫ַה ָּס ִר‬ ‫ּברים‬
ִ ִ‫ְו ַהּג‬ ‫ּולכָ ל‬
ְ ‫ּגִ ּבר ־‬ mighty men, and with all
u·l·bni·u om - e·srisim u·e·gburim u·l·kl - gbur the valiant men, unto
and·to·sons-of·him with the·eunuchs and·the·masterful-men and·to·every-of masterful-man-of Jerusalem.

‫ָחיִ ל‬ ‫יְ רּוׁשָ לָ ִם ־ אֶ ל‬ :

ֶ ‫וַּי‬ ‫ְׁש ָמעּונִ י‬

Then David the king stood

and·he-is-rising David the·king on feet-of·him and·he-is-saying hear-you(p)·me ! Hear me, my brethren, and
my people: [As for me], I
‫אַ ַחי‬ ‫ְועַ ִּמי‬ ‫אֲנִ י‬ ‫ִעם‬ ‫ְל ָב ִבי ־‬ ‫ִל ְבנת‬ ‫ֵּבית‬ ‫נּוחה‬
ָ ‫ְמ‬ [had] in mine heart to build
an house of rest for the ark

of the covenant of the
brothers-of·me and·people-of·me I with heart-of·me to·to-build-of house-of resting
LORD, and for the footstool
of our God, and had made

ֲ ַ‫ְול‬ ‫ַרגְ לֵ י‬ ‫הינּו‬-ֱ
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫ינתי‬
ִ ‫ַוה ֲִכ‬ ready for the building:

ִ ‫ְו ָהא‬ ‫אָ ַמר‬ ‫ִלי‬ ‫ִת ְבנֶה ־ ל ֹא‬ ‫ַביִ ת‬ ‫ִל ְׁש ִמי‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ִאיׁש‬

But God said unto me,
u·e·aleim amr l·i la - thbne bith l·shm·i ki aish Thou shalt not build an
and·the·Elohim he-said to·me not you-shall-build house for·name-of·me that man-of house for my name, because
thou [hast been] a man of
‫ִמ ְל ָחמת‬ ‫ְו ָד ִמים אַ ָּתה‬ ‫ׁשָ פָ ְכ ָּת‬ : war, and hast shed blood.

28:4 ‫חר‬
ַ ‫וַּיִ ְב‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫הי‬-ֱ
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל‬ ‫ִּבי‬ ‫ִמּכֹל‬ ‫ֵּבית‬ ‫אָ ִבי ־‬

Howbeit the LORD God
u·ibchr ieue alei ishral b·i m·kl bith - ab·i of Israel chose me before all
and·he-is-choosing Yahweh Elohim-of Israel in·me from·all-of house-of father-of·me the house of my father to be
king over Israel for ever: for
‫ִל ְהית‬  ֶ‫ְל ֶמל‬ ‫עַ ל‬ ‫יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל ־‬ ‫ְלעלָ ם‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫יהּודה‬
ָ ‫ִב‬ ‫ָּב ַחר‬ ‫ְלנָגִ יד‬ ‫ּוב ֵבית‬
ְ he hath chosen Judah [to
be] the ruler; and of the

house of Judah, the house

And of all my sons, (for

Solomon my son to sit upon
‫מֹה‬-‫ִּב ְׁש‬ ‫ְבנִ י‬ ‫לָ ׁשֶ ֶבת‬ ‫ִּכ ֵּסא ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ַמ ְלכּות‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫עַ ל‬ ‫ יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל ־‬: the throne of the kingdom
of the LORD over Israel.

ִ ‫ֵב‬ ‫רתי‬
ָ ֵ‫ַוחֲצ‬

And he said unto me,

and·he-is-saying to·me Solomon son-of·you he he-shall-build house-of·me and·courts-of·me build my house and my
courts: for I have chosen
‫ִּכי‬ ‫ָב ַח ְר ִּתי ־‬ ‫ב‬ ‫ִלי‬ ‫ְל ֵבן‬ ‫ַואֲנִ י‬ ‫אֶ ְהיֶה‬ ‫ּל ־‬ ‫ְלאָ ב‬ : him [to be] my son, and I
will be his father.

ֱ ‫ֶי‬ ‫לַ עֲׂשת‬

Moreover I will establish

ְ ‫הינּו‬-ֱ

Now therefore in the sight

and in the audience of our
‫ִׁש ְמרּו‬ ‫ְו ִד ְרׁשּו‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ִמ ְצת ־‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫היכֶ ם‬-ֱ
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫ְל ַמעַ ן‬ God, keep and seek for all
the commandments of the
shmru u·drshu kl - mtzuth ieue alei·km lmon
LORD your God: that ye
observe-you(p) ! and·inquire-you(p) ! all-of instructions-of Yahweh Elohim-of·you(p) so-that
may possess this good land,
and leave [it] for an
‫ירׁשּו‬
ְ ‫ִּת‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫ּטבה‬
ָ ‫ַה‬ ‫ְו ִהנְ ַח ְל ֶּתם‬ ‫ִל ְבנֵיכֶ ם‬ inheritance for your

And thou, Solomon my

and·you Solomon son-of·me know-you ! » Elohim-of father-of·you and·serve-you·him ! thy father, and serve him
with a perfect heart and
‫ְּבלֵ ב‬ ‫ׁשָ לֵ ם‬ ‫ּובנֶפֶ ׁש‬
ְ ‫חֲפֵ צָ ה‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫כָ ל‬ ‫ּדרׁש ְל ָבבת ־‬
ֵ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ְוכָ ל‬ ‫־‬ with a willing mind: for the
LORD searcheth all hearts,
b·lb shlm u·b·nphsh chphtze ki kl - lbbuth dursh ieue u·kl -
and understandeth all the
in·heart equitable and·in·soul delighting that all-of hearts inquiring Yahweh and·every-of
imaginations of the
thoughts: if thou seek him,
‫יֵצֶ ר‬ ‫ַמחֲׁשָ בת‬ ‫ֵמ ִבין‬ ‫ִּת ְד ְרׁשֶ ּנּו ־ ִאם‬ ‫יִ ָּמצֵ א‬  ָ‫ל‬ ‫ְו ִאם‬ ‫־‬ he will be found of thee; but

form-of devisings cunderstanding if you-are-inquiring·him he-shall-be-found to·you and·if cast thee off for ever.

Take heed now; for the

the upper chambers thereof,

ַ ‫ָב‬ ‫ִעּמ‬ ‫ְל ַח ְצרת‬ ‫ֵּבית‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬

And the pattern of all

the treasuries of the house

ְ ‫ְמלֶ אכֶ ת ־‬ ‫ֲבדת‬

Also for the courses of

and·for·apportionments-of the·priests and·the·Levites and·for·all-of work-of service-of and for all the work of the
service of the house of the
‫ֵּבית‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬ ‫ּולכָ ל‬
ְ ‫ְּכלֵ י ־‬ ‫ֲבדת‬
ַ ‫ע‬ ‫ֵּבית‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬ : LORD, and for all the
vessels of service in the

Even the weight for the

ָ ‫ִל ְמ‬ candlestick, and for the

28:16 ‫ְואֶ ת‬ ‫ָהב ־‬
ָ ‫ַהּז‬ ‫ִמ ְׁש ָקל‬ ‫ְלׁשֻ ְלחֲנת‬ ‫ַה ַּמע ֲֶרכֶ ת‬ ‫ְלׁשֻ ְל ַחן‬ ‫ְוׁשֻ ְל ָחן‬ ‫ְוכֶ ֶסף‬ ‫ְלׁשֻ ְלחֲנת‬

And by weight [he gave]

Also pure gold for the
u·e·mzlguth u·e·mzrquth u·e·qshuth zeb teur fleshhooks, and the bowls,
and·the·forks and·the·sprinkling-bowls and·the·chalices gold pure and the cups: and for the
golden basons [he gave
‫פרי‬
ֵ ‫ְו ִל ְכ‬ ‫ָהב‬
ָ ‫ַהּז‬ ‫ְּב ִמ ְׁש ָקל‬ ‫ִל ְכפר‬ ‫ּוכפר‬
ְ gold] by weight for every
bason; and [likewise silver]

And for the altar of
u·l·mzbch e·qtrth zeb mzqq b·mshql u·l·thbnith e·mrkbe incense refined gold by
and·for·altar-of the·incense gold being-mcupelled in·the·weight and·for·model-of the·chariot weight; and gold for the
pattern of the chariot of the
‫ַה ְּכ ֻר ִבים‬ ‫ָהב‬
ָ ‫ז‬ ‫ְלפ ְֹר ִׂשים‬ ‫ְוס ְֹכ ִכים‬ ‫עַ ל‬ ‫אֲרן ־‬ ‫ְּב ִרית‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬ : cherubims, that spread out
[their wings], and covered
e·krbim zeb l·phrshim u·skkim ol - arun brith - ieue :
the ark of the covenant of
the·cherubim gold to·ones-spreading and·ones-overshadowing over coffer-of covenant-of Yahweh
the LORD.
28:19 ‫הּכֹל‬
ַ ‫ִּב ְכ ָתב‬ ‫ִמּיַד‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫עָ לַ י‬ ‫ִה ְׂש ִּכיל‬ ‫ּכֹל‬ ‫ַמ ְלאֲכת‬

All [this, said David], the
e·kl b·kthb m·id ieue ol·i eshkil kl mlakuth LORD made me understand
the·all in·writing from·hand-of Yahweh on·me he-cgave-intelligence all-of work-of in writing by [his] hand
upon me, [even] all the
‫ַה ַּת ְבנִ ית‬ : ‫פ‬ works of this pattern.

ֶ ‫וַּי‬ ‫ָּד ִויד‬ ‫מֹה‬-‫ִל ְׁש‬ ‫ְבנ‬ ‫חזַק‬
ֲ ‫ֱמץ‬
ַ ‫ֶוא‬

And David said to
u·iamr duid l·shlme bn·u chzq u·amtz Solomon his son, Be strong
and·he-is-saying David to·Solomon son-of·him be-steadfast-you ! and·be-resolute-you ! and of good courage, and
do [it]: fear not, nor be
‫ַועֲׂשֵ ה‬ ‫אַ ל‬ ‫ירא ־‬
ָ ‫ִּת‬ ‫ְואַ ל‬ ‫ֵּת ָחת ־‬ ‫ִּכי‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ dismayed: for the LORD
God, [even] my God, [will
u·oshe al - thira u·al - thchth ki ieue
be] with thee; he will not
and·do-you ! must-not-be you-are-fearing and·must-not-be you-are-being-dismayed that Yahweh
fail thee, nor forsake thee,
until thou hast finished all
‫הים‬-ֱ
ִ ‫הי א‬-ֱ
ַ ‫א‬ ‫ִע ָּמ‬ ‫ל ֹא‬ 1‫י ְַר ְּפ‬ ‫ְול ֹא‬ ָ‫יַעַ זְ ֶבּך‬ ‫עַ ד‬ ‫־‬ the work for the service of
aleim ale·i om·k la irph·k u·la iozb·k od - the house of the LORD.
Elohim Elohim-of·me with·you not he-shall-cneglect·you and·not he-shall-forsake·you until

‫ִל ְכלת‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ְמלֶ אכֶ ת ־‬ ‫ֲבדת‬

ַ ‫ע‬ ‫ֵּבית‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬ :
l·kluth kl - mlakth obudth bith - ieue :
to·to-be-finished-of all-of work-of service-of house-of Yahweh

28:21 ‫ְו ִהּנֵה‬ ‫ַמ ְח ְלקת‬ ‫ּכהֲנִ ים‬

ֹ ‫ַה‬ ‫ְו ַה ְל ִוּיִ ם‬ ‫ְלכָ ל‬ ‫ֲבדת ־‬
ַ ‫ע‬ ‫ֵּבית‬

And, behold, the courses
u·ene mchlquth e·kenim u·e·luim l·kl - obudth bith of the priests and the
and·behold ! apportionments-of the·priests and·the·Levites for·all-of service-of house-of Levites, [even they shall be
with thee] for all the service
‫הים‬-ֱ
ִ ‫ָהא‬ 1‫ְו ִע ְּמ‬ ‫ְבכָ ל‬ ‫ְלכָ ל ְמלָ אכָ ה ־‬ ‫נ ִָדיב ־‬ ‫ַּב ָח ְכ ָמה‬ ‫ְלכָ ל‬ ‫־‬ of the house of God: and
[there shall be] with thee for
e·aleim u·om·k b·kl - mlake l·kl - ndib b·chkme l·kl -
all manner of workmanship
the·Elohim and·with·you in·all-of work to·every-of one-willing in·the·wisdom for·every-of
every willing skilful man,
for any manner of service:
‫ֲבדה‬
ָ ‫ע‬ ‫ְו ַהּׂשָ ִרים‬ ‫ְוכָ ל‬ ‫ָהעָ ם ־‬ ‫ְלכָ ל‬ ‫ ־‬1‫ְּד ָב ֶרי‬ : ‫פ‬ also the princes and all the
obude u·e·shrim u·kl - e·om l·kl - dbri·k : p people [will be] wholly at
service and·the·chiefs and·all-of the·people to·all-of words-of·you thy commandment.
