Aqueducts consisted of conduits,

One of Romes key contributions
was its support and
encouragement of Christianity.
To improve communications and
travel across their far-reaching
empire, the Romans built some
50,000 miles of roads.
By the mid-2nd century BCE,
Romans made extensive use of
concrete: bridges were often
constructed with a concrete core
and a stone-block facing.

The Romans were known to
contribute to public discourse
through the use of official texts
detailing military, legal and civil
issues. Known as Acta Diurna, or
daily acts, these early newspapers
were written on metal or stone and
then posted in heavily trafficked
areas like the Roman Forum.
The most straightforward theory for
Western Romes collapse pins the
fall on a string of military losses
sustained against outside forces.
Even as Rome was under attack
from outside forces, it was also
crumbling from within thanks to a
severe financial crisis. Constant
wars and overspending had
significantly lightened imperial
coffers, and oppressive taxation
and inflation had widened the gap
between rich and poor. In the
hope of avoiding the taxman,
many members of the wealthy
classes had even fled to the
countryside and set up
independent fiefdoms.
If Romes sheer size made it difficult
to govern, ineffective and
inconsistent leadership only served
to magnify the problem. Being the
Roman emperor had always been a
particularly dangerous job, but
during the tumultuous second and

spread information throughout the
empire by writing it on metal or
stones.
The Romans lost military power
and strength due to barbarian
attacks from its western side.
While rome was being attacked by
the barbarians Rome was facing
severe financial crisis with peoples
jobs and their taxation.
The Roman empire was so big
causing it to be hard to govern.
This cause distress and confusion
causing the emperors job as a
death sentence.

The decline of Rome dovetailed with
the spread of Christianity, and some
have argued that the rise of a new
faith helped contribute to the
empires fall.
A decline in agriculture also
weakened the empire. Throughout
Italy and western Europe the soil
had become difficult to farm due to
constant warfare and overuse.
The fate of Western Rome was
partially sealed in the late third
century, when the Emperor
Diocletian divided the Empire into
two halvesthe Western Empire
seated in the city of Milan, and the
Eastern Empire in Byzantium, later
known as Constantinople. The
division made the empire more
easily governable in the short term,
but over time the two halves drifted
apart. East and West failed to
adequately work together to combat
outside threats, and the two often
squabbled over resources and
military aid.
The invading army reached the
outskirts of Rome, which had been
left totally undefended. In 410 C.E.,
the Visigoths, led by Alaric,
breached the walls of Rome and
Christianity continued to spread
which caused different beliefs, and
was one of the cause of Rome's
Fall.
Farming income was declining
making it hard to keep up with the
mass amount of people. This was
due to constant fighting and to
much overuse.
Rome was basically over when the
Emperor Diocletian split ancient
Rome into 2 different parts because
then rome started to fail to protect
their empires separately.
When the Visigoths led by Alaric
got to Rome they destroyed
