Toxic Clothes

From the book Killer Clothes from Anna Maria Clement,

PhD, NMD, LN and Brian R. Clement, PhD, NMD, LN

At the beginning I mentioned the dangers of fluoride. Get educated on google

and check the very small print on your tooth paste.

First the not so dangerous stuff

High Heels
Heel and arches may hurt >>> back problems
Posture different from natures intention
Calf muscles shorten I know somebody who cannot walk in flat shoes

Tight shoes
Tightness may affect Chi flow in meridians
Blisters, Bunions, Corns

Tight Bras
Impeded lymph flow it is needed to remove toxins
The bras fabric contains toxins and skin is absorbing them and then they might
stay in the breast tissue
The lymph flow is an indicator for the recovery from breast cancer
There were cases that the bras caused rashes and even scars on the breasts
Nylon and acrylic bras breast cancer risk increased

100 women with breast pain and cysts >>> bras free >>> symptoms reduced
breast could hang down when bras free >>> nonsense >>> the ligaments atropy
and become weaker with braziers

During the break Pam got a call from a listener that actually 70% of the
breast cancer cases are caused by braziers.

Tight Jeans
Reduced sperm production

Panty hoses and synthetic underwear

Might be the cause of candida albicans
Toxins in the clothes we wear
Four stages of fabric production
1. Fiber preparation
2. Production of fibers bleaching singed sized
3. Textile production
4. Dying and printing finishing reduce shrinkage wrinkle free water
repellent flame retardant antibacterial and antifungal

Everything requires toxins

Formaldehyde is added to prevent wear and tear

Lots of health concerns for all the details you need to read the book.

Contact dermatitis, allergies

Some are human carcinogens, induce liver and lung tumors
Others are hormone disruptors .. mimicking effects of natural hormones
Chrome dyes can cause allergic skin reactions and even skin ulceration, can
also damage human kidneys and liver

What really concerns me is that washing is not always removing these toxins
There are toxins that are in the clothes even after 100 wash cycles

Nowadays the Trade Secrecy Law Conceals Health Threats

Companies began hiding the flame retardant chemicals
One cannot find out what is in most formulations

Children are much more affected by all of this

Europe and especially Norway are much more restrictive in what can be used
than North America

Health Effects of Synthetics

Blood studies in the US involving more than 10.000 >>> every American
has in his/her body at least 700 or more synthetic chemicals
Probably from clothes, cosmetics, personal care products

Multiple Chemical Sensitivities >> headaches, poor concentration, tingling

sensations, nausea, hives, insomnia, itchiness, nervousness, depression

There is one line of baby clothes where patches of the skin came off when the
pyjama was removed. Pediatricians said the injuries looked like chemical
burns. Hundreds of parents came forward with their horror stories. page 67
of the book Killer Clothes.

I learned in my first Chemistry lesson Never put chemicals together when

you do NOT know how they react with each other and then there is
medication and the food additives,

Chemicals accumulate in the body and they also have effects on the
environment for example on the aquatic life. In the fatty tissue, therefore
breastfeeding mother should not lose weight.

What shall we do?

ORGANIC Clothes of natural fibers from plants that have not been sprayed
with insecticides and herbicides

Silk and cotton are usually clean fibers

Raw wool can obtain up to 40 percent and needs cleaning, I dont know what
the use for organic clothes

Periodically detoxify

Think about what you put in and on your body

Too expensive?!
Conventional cotton lasts only 10-20 washes before it starts to break down
Organic cotton fabric can last for one hundred washes or more before it begins
to show wear.
The book contains several websites of organic clothes producers.

Negative Ions
Another aspect not mentioned in the book
Synthetic fibers attract negative ions. I read about this 1975 in a book my uncle
in Quebec had.
We need them for our energy level. During the night there is a higher amount of
them in the air.

My mother had already in the late 1960s an appliance that released negative
ions in the air of her bookbindery.
With the effect that her employees were very seldom sick
And what are most doing? They buy curtains from synthetic fiber and
less negative ions are in the air they breathe
They wear synthetic clothes so that the air they inhale during the day most
likely also contains less negative ions.

In the book was also written that Russians and Israelis had researched the
effects of higher amounts of negative ions on Olympic athletes.

My uncle probably had this book because the son of his friends had developed
the negative ions releaser Bionaire

It is kind of interesting that the Russians seem to realize what is good for the
body. They also did quite a bit of research with Reconnective Healing on pre-
Olympic athletes and Dr. Eric Pearl taught doctors, nurses and the children
Reconnective Healing in the largest hospital for sick children in Tel Aviv.
