Dear Members,

UPDGRADING MEMBERSHIP CLASS OF IIESL

According to the bylaws of llESL, having completed 05 years period of Membership in the Associate
years
Member class you will be eligible to apply for corporate Membership. Also any one who counts 07
experience in the Field of Engineering Technology after obtaining relevant Diploma, is entitled for direct
Membership. ln addition, if you complete 7 years experience in the field during prescribed Associate
Membership period of 5 years for Corporate Membership, you are eligible to apply for Corporate
Member category even though you have not completed 5 years as Associate Member.

ln the above three instances, you will have to submit a CDR (Competency Demonstration Report) at the
registration for Member Class.

ln order to prepare a successful and comprehensive CDR, necessary guidelines and instructions are
provided through our CDR Writing programme. You are able to register these programmes and obtain
required knowledge through the programme.

Further, if you have any problem pertaining to your memblrship or any other matter with the
lnstitution, you are able to participate in the "Membership Drive" which is held in fourth Saturday in
every month from 9.OO a.m. to 1.00 p.m.at IIESL Secretarial,2Tf B, Udumulla Road, Battaramulla. ln the
Membership Drive, you are able to meet Membership Functional Committee Chairman and other
Senior Members.

lf you intend to woik as an Engineering Practitioner, registration in the Engineering Councilihrough IIESL

under new Engineering Council Act is mandatory.

Therefore, upgrading your membership would be immensely important for your future
prospectus.
