Songwriter: Bruno Mars

Lyrical Breakdown: It Will Rain But they're just afraid of something
There's no religion that could save me they can't understand
If you ever leave me baby,
Ooh but little darlin' watch me
No matter how long my knees are on the floor
Leave some morphine at my door change their minds

Ooh so keep in mind all the sacrifices I'm Yea for you I'll try I'll try I'll try I'll
'Cause it would take a whole lot of medication
makin' try
To realize what we used to have, I'll pick up these broken pieces 'til
Will keep you by my side
I'm bleeding
We don't have it anymore.
Will keep you from walkin' out the door. If that'll make you mine

There's no religion that could save me Cause there'll be no sunlight

I'll never be your mother's favorite
If I lose you, baby
No matter how long my knees are on the floor
Your daddy can't even look me in the eye There'll be no clear skies
Ooh so keep in mind all the sacrifices I'm makin' If I lose you, baby
Ooh if I was in their shoes, I'd be doing the
same thing Just like the clouds
Will keep you by my side
My eyes will do the same, if you
Sayin there goes my little girl
Will keep you from walkin' out the door. walk away
Walkin' with that troublesome guy Everyday it will rain

Lyrical Breakdown: It Will Rain
Summary: I think this song is about a man (Bruno Mars), who wants his girlfriend to stay with him, and is
willing to do anything to win her back. He makes it very clear that his life won't be complete without her,
and is trying to fight for her love and trust back. The main point of the song is losing someone you don't
want to ever lose.

Interpretation: In my opinion, the deeper meaning of this song is its very difficult to lose someone you
love and have given everything to.

Theme: I think the theme of this song, is sometimes you need to work on your relationships before its too
late. The reason I think this, is because the song explains that if he had tried harder, their relationship
wouldve worked.

Biography:
Emily Dickinson Emily Dickinson was born on December 10, 1830, in
Amherst, Massachusetts. Emily grew up with her
younger sister, Lavina and her older brother Austin. She
grew up in a strong household run by her father, as she
didn't see her mother often, due to her being not being
emotionally accessible. Emily's father was a lawyer and
served as the treasurer of Amherst College, which made sure her
family was financially set. She withdrew from everyone and
everything, including her father and stayed in the house for the
last twenty years of her life to write poetry.

Live in Vain: Why I chose this Poet and Poem:

If I can stop one heart from breaking, I chose this poem because it talks about how
helping others, makes someone happier and feel
I shall not live in vain; better about themselves. And I chose this this poet
because I love the way she expresses her feelings
If I can ease one life the aching,
through the words, and how easy it is to relate to
her writing.
Or cool one pain,

Or help one fainting robin

Unto his nest again,

I shall not live in vain.

Dad, Free Verse
I know you may not think so I dont know what you want from me Time to open your eyes

GIve me a hint or clue To give me a hand

But Im trying really hard
Please give me a sign Instead of looks and sighs
I dont do it on purpose
I dont know what to do Its not that I don't love you
I did not pick this card
If you only knew And its not that I dont care
Im trying my very best
How much I struggle in this war The fact is that I need help too
To get this hurdle jumped Maybe you would be there I need somebody there

But no one else is there To pick me up off of the floor And its not you

To help me out of this slump Its time to stop pretending

One More Time, Free Verse
I wish that I could talk to you I wish that I could bring you back
And beg you not to go To see you one last time
I wish I asked what you were going through To hug you closer, to hear your voice
But now Ill never know And told you I loved you that day

I wish that I had some warning But all these things cant ever happen
Of what you'd do that night The nightmares are all about you
And that youd given me a chance to save you There's not one thing I can change
To help you make things right Because these wishes will never come true

I wish that the last time I saw you

I didnt rush away
I wish I had hugged you harder
And told you I loved you that day
With her head hung low
And nowhere to go

She cant explain

This mysterious pain

It comes on so fast

Mysterious
How long will it last

Her heart is just pounding, her head starts to

spin

Pain Please go away, she doesnt want you in

She's uncontrollably crying
It feels like shes dying

Her body is trembling, her hands start to shake

Free Verse She feels so helpless with this horrible ache

Wit her head hung low

And nowhere to go

She tries to explain

This mysterious pain
Your Worth, Free Verse
They say never give up Just like today
Never give in, The sun will shine again
Keep fighting that fight, Through the clouds and the rain
So the devil doesnt win The sun still remains
Through the hurt and the pain And all the darkness will fade away
The sorrow and the shame
So hold your head high
The one thing you need to remember
And feel the warmth
Is that tomorrow is never the same It may remind you
What you are truly worth
Hold onto your hope and dreams
For your fears are less than they seem
So to all of you who feel like they are losing the fight
And to those who feel like there is no hope in sight
Take a minute to look at the sky
And remember that theres something
Out there bigger than you and I
Trust Me
