Introduction
Mega Infrastructure Construction Conference 2014 was successfully held in Kaohsiung,
Taiwan in 2014. The conference attracted over 200 delegates from the Mainland, Hong Kong,
Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for participation in the event. The
delegates include members of the construction and engineering societies and institutions,
professionals and senior staffs from contractors and consultancy firms, and academicians from
universities.TheconferencewascoorganizedbyTaiwanConstructionEngineeringAssociation(
)andKaohsiungProfessionalCivilEngineersAssociation().

MegaInfrastructureAndUrbanDevelopmentConstructionConference2016willbeheldin
HongKongin2016.TheConferenceaimstoprovideaplatformforexpertsandengineersfromAsia
Pacific region for sharing of knowledge and experience in infrastructure and urban development
constructionincludingbridges,tunnels,reclamation,urbanconstruction,sustainabledevelopment
andetc.ItishopedthattheConferencecouldhelpstrengtheningthetechnologicalexchangesand
cooperationamongcountriesintheAsiaPacificregion.TheConferenceiscoorganisedbyCiviland
Environmental Engineering Department, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

paperswillbepresentedandthedurationofeachpresentationis25minutes.Thetotalduration
ofeachsessionis90minutesincluding15minutesquestionsandanswers(Q&A).Itisestimated
that18paperswillbepresentedintheConference.
- The papers presented in the Conference will be included in the Proceedings. However, the
acceptedpapersbutnotarrangedforpresentationwillalsobeincludedintheProceedings.
