A kindergarten teacher lays out the basic fundamentals of learning for young children.

They introduce standard subjects such as basic math, shapes, colors and also teach social skills

and interaction with others. Kindergarten teachers need to be able to nurture children and teach

them ethical valuable lessons. As a kindergarten teacher you need to have good open

communication skills with the children's parents. You need to be able to provide hands on

creative lessons that the children will be able to keep focus and enjoy doing. Study.com,

The general career path and education needed for a Kindergarten teacher are as follows.

1: Receive a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. 2: You need to complete a student

teaching internship in a kindergarten classroom, that is approved by the state preparation

program. 3: A state required test for kindergarten teachers. 4: You then need to apply for a

teaching license based on where you live, may be valid in other states as well. 5: Apply for

kindergarten jobs in a public or private school wherever fits best for you.

Kindergarten teachers median pay as of 2016 was $55,490 per year. This was with a

entry level education of a Bachelor's degree. Pay for teachers vary from local or private schools

to the number of years you have been teaching. Special education also has a different pay due to

Between 2014 and 2024 the job growth for a kindergarten teacher is expected to have a

6% growth. Study.com Demand for teachers is expected to rise more slowly due to the baby

boomers leaving the school system. Enrollment will vary by region, the midwest is expected to

decline but those in the south and west will increase. Teachers who are able to move to different

states and have different licensure, in more than one subject have the advantage of finding

educational jobs. The supply of teachers should increase due to reports of better pay, better

public interest in education and teacher involvement in school policy. States have implemented

better policies that will encourage younger generations to become teachers. Due to the shortage

of teachers in different locations and the expected amount of teachers that will be retiring.

Aristotle was an ancient greek who is very famous in the educational system. He taught

that teachers are the ones that make a child a person. Parents can have babies but you have to

teach them to form them into something more. Kindergarten teachers do just that for young

children. Kids come into kindergarten knowing almost little to nothing. You as their teacher

make them into something more and give them a vision for drive and success in their future.

child who was closed off the the world. As a teacher you need to not doubt yourself or your

Pros to being a kindergarten teacher is the bond you have with your students. You are

with your students almost as much as they are with their parents. You will start to have

relationships with your students and truly care about them. You will always know your love of

learning. Knowing that you can have a really big impact on a child's life that can mold them to

the person they will become. Summer vacations are a really big pro and can be really convenient

if you have kids. Due to your vacations and breaks being the same time if they are in school.

Cons of being a teacher could be summer vacation as well. Most of the time the last

paycheck you receive is the last day of school, leading to having to budget your finances. You

will have professional development days that you will have to sit through and sometimes do

nonsense training. You may have to deal with some children's parents, not being open to helping

After doing more research further into a kindergarten teacher's career I do think that I will

be a good fit for this career. I love helping others and teaching fundamentals that can form a

child into a person. Being crafty and thinking outside of the box is something I really enjoy

doing. I feel the pros to this profession really outway the cons. I like the thought that once I do

have kids I could have a really similar schedule as them. I love that I would have summers off.

Allowing me to get a part time job that I enjoy doing as a hobby. Although the pay isn't the best I

know the happiness I would get from the job would out way that.
