Religion: We are learning about the season of
Advent. On Tuesday morning, we gathered in the
hallway outside of our classroom with grades

frames to use the strategy of making a group of
ten. We are learning to follow the steps to find the
sums. We reviewed the strategies of using doubles
and counting on to solve addition problems.

Science: We are learning more about animal

habitats. We watched 2 videos from Discovery
Education about the forest, desert, grassland,
ocean and pond habitats.

Social Studies: We are learning some beginning

map skills. We are focusing on using a map key
and following the directions north, south, east and
west on a map.
