Lesson idea implementation:

I will use this video to peak the students interest in art by Pablo Picasso. We will talk about how his art diffes
from other artists weve discussed. How can you tell this piece is a Picasso? After the video, students will use
Picassos signature style to create their own works of art. By applying what we learned and creating an
original product, the lesson is extended to a higher level of learning.
Because of the nature of this lesson, students will be graded simply on their participation in the project. I
will ask them to present their work of art, and they will explain to the class what aspects of Picassos work we
should see in their piece. To conclude the lesson, we will talk about how every artist has a different style, and
that is because every person perceives art and life differently. As artists themselves, students will develop
their own personal art styles.
