MATLAMAT (GOALS):

Kursus ini bertujuan untuk memberi pengetahuan yang terperinci kepada teknologi percetakan dan pelabelan i termasuk
kajian mengenai proses , operasi mesin, salutan percetakan dan kod bar..

The course aims to provide a detailed knowledge on printing and labeling technology including the study on their
process, machine operation, printing coatings and bar codes

SINOPSIS (SYNOPSIS):

Satu kursus yang direka untuk menggabungkan kuliah dalam kelas dan tugasan yang membolehkan para pelajar belajar yang
betul untuk topik-topik tertentu. Kursus ini merangkumi topik percetakan dan pelabelan, pelabelan, proses percetakan, dan
operasi percetakan, salutan, dan kod bar

A course designed to a combine of classroom lecture and assignment that allow the students to learn proper for
certain topics. The course covers topics of printing and labeling, labeling, printing process, and printing
operation, coatings, and bar codes

HASIL PEMBELAJARAN (LEARNING OUTCOMES):

Pada akhir kursus ini, pelajar dapat menggunakan pengetahuan dan kemahiran yang telah dipelajari:

(1) Menganalisis ciri-ciri proses asas operasi percetakan dan pentingnya penyalutan dalam percetakan. (PLO 1- C4)
(2) Semak Semula spesifikasi kod bar cetak untuk tujuan pemasaran pembungkus produk. (PLO2 - P6)
(3) Jelaskan reka bentuk pakej yang sesuai untuk percetakan dan process pelabelan . (PLO7 - A3)

At the end of this course, the students would be able to:

(1) Analyze the characteristics of basic process of printing operation and significant of coatings in printing.
(PLO 1- C4)
(2) Revise the specifications of printing bar codes for package products marketing purpose. ( PLO2 - P6)
(3) Justify a suitable package design to the printing and labeling process. (PLO7 A3)

Practice in laboratory (30 hours); technical visit at printing industry (10 hours).

Practice I Pre-Press Process: Design, film maker, plate maker 9 hours

Practice II Press process: printing process on Offset Machine 9 hours

Practice III Post Press: Finishing process for example die cut, hot stamping, 9 hours
folding and sorting process

Practice V Technical visit at printing industry 15 hours

KEHADIRAN / PERATURAN SEMASA KULIAH (ATTENDANCE / REGULATIONS DURING LECTURE)

1. Pelajar mesti hadir tidak kurang dari 80% masa pertemuan yang ditentukan bagi sesuatu kursus termasuk
kursus Hadir Wajib (HW) dan kursus Hadir Sahaja (HS).
Students must attend not less than 80% of the contact hours specified for a course including Compulsory
Attendance (HW) course and Attendance Only (HS) course.
2. Pelajar yang tidak memenuhi perkara 1 di atas tidak dibenarkan menghadiri kuliah dan menduduki sebarang
bentuk pentaksiran selanjutnya. Markah sifar 0 akan diberikan kepada pelajar yang gagal memenuhi perkara
1. Manakala untuk kursus HW, pelajar yang gagal memenuhi perkara 1 akan diberi gred Hadir Gagal (HG).
Students who do not fulfill item 1 of the above are not allowed to attend further lecture and sit for any form
of assessment. Zero 0 mark will be given to students who fail to comply with item 1. As for HW course,
students who fail to comply with item 1 will be given Failure Attendance (HG) grade.
3. Pelajar perlu patuh kepada peraturan berpakaian yang berkuatkuasa dan menjaga disiplin diri masing-masing
untuk mengelakkan dari tindakan tatatertib diambil terhadap pelajar.
Students should adhere to the dress regulations in effect and must discipline themselves to avoid from any
disciplinary actions.
4. Pelajar perlu mematuhi peraturan keselamatan sepanjang aktiviti pembelajaran dan pengajaran.
Students should adhere to the safety regulations throughout the learning and teaching activities.
