Brief Description: With this paper consists of three spate reflections throughout the course

semester. The first reflection was done at the begging of the semester, the second reflections was

done during midterm, and the final reflections was the end of the semester. In each round

reflections cover the same material and it shows how my understanding during the semester and

it explains how my ideas changed or didnt change while Im taking the course.

Rationale: To demonstrate my understanding of Application of Content. I chose this to

communication and an evaluation people. By doing this; help me to improve myself and

evaluating my practices that I leaned and shows my personal experiences of what I am thinking

and knowing.

I have become aware of the possibility of having multiple interpretations of a problem and
different layers to learning a concept. Similar to Blooms Taxonomy, a concept could have
multiple questions to the same answer. As a teacher, also needs to be open that there are
multiple ways to explain a question or problem and a question may need to be re-worded for
students.

Tapping into natural curiosity and questions about the world to drive the curriculum

I confident the ability to utilize the students curiosity and questions to drive the curriculum. If
students have a reason to learn and are willing to ask questions, then they can drive their
learning. The teacher should be a guide in the classroom and know when to assist the students
in asking the right questions instead of giving the right answers.

Asking questions throughout an investigative process to continually deepen our


understanding

I confident I need to ask questions to deepen the understanding of the material. The teacher
needs to know when to ask the questions to guide the students to the answer, rather than give
the answer. I also feel as though students could be trusted to guide their learning and could
improve their own educations if given the opportunity. The students will perform based on the
teachers action and allowing students to guide the learning process would increase motivation
as the students feel as they control their learning.

Being comfortable with not knowing or not having the correct answer

I have changed to become somewhat confident in not knowing or not having a correct answer.
Students may ask questions that lack a definite answer and that spurs curiosity, furthering their
effort to learn about the material. Though I started out being unsure about leaving questions not
known or correct, I learned it is the process of getting to the question, not the answer that
matters.

I am confident believe to developing student by given then opportunity to share their
learning and other possibilities and gives them the chance to explore various situations
and what influences them.

I am confident to allow student to be curious and their question will help them feel involved in
the learning process. Give student productive work, motivation and guide their learning on their
own.

I am confident to asking the right questions will help drive the curriculum as students are
naturally curious. The right questions will lead them to what the teacher wants them to learn
and motivate them to learn the concept. I feel comfortable with asking questions to drive their
learning and subtly shifting their thinking into thinking about the right ideas but not by giving the
answers outright. Collaboration may also play a role as students interacting would allow them to
ask each other questions and answer some of their own questions.

Being comfortable with not knowing or not having the correct answer
I am comfortable with knowing and not knowing the answer to every question. Students will
have to understand this concept as well. I learned to accept it by not giving up on the question
itself but rather drawing a line in the sand for understanding the concept and knowing more
research could always be completed. It is not knowing that is the problem, it is giving up before
any question is answered. The question is only there to spur learning, what students do
afterwards is up to them.

I am confident that I can re- examine things that I have previously learned. Keep myself
to study the lesson over the past and revise it more.

I am confident in my ability to record my learning experiences for the purpose of
reflection. I have my personal diary note book with many account, and username
passwords to help me when I dont have connection with my device. It very helpful every
time when I need and it always be with me.

The words still have meaning as they form the foundation for science but I need to
realize students may understand better through actions than words. Each term still has
personal meaning as I still enjoy science and want to implement science as a main focus
in my future classroom.

I have confirmed and been confused about recording my learning experiences for
reflection. The class has used learning experience as a way to reflect on the material but I
have not had difficulties yet. I enjoy doing the reading responses. I think that reading the text
book, and then doing the reading responses really makes an individual grasp the information
better.

I confirmed Scientific words are the foundation of our understanding and finding the reason why
things happen builds future developments in science.

I am confident I could record my observations for a future reflection. My midterm paper shows
how my understanding changed as the experiment.

individually. I think its important to work sometime an individually to try your best to
improve my mistake.

nervous when Im talking and sharing my ideas during a class discussion because Im

I love to participate in small groups. I like the small group setting and stay engaged more than
when speaking with the entire class. The discussions have helped further learning and show how
each persons schema brings different ideas and possibilities to solving a problem

I have been able to reflect on me on learning. I can reflect individually because I know myself
and I understand how I learn best, my group may vary and the groups have been different so far
through the class. Additional practice and steady groups may help clarify the group reflection as

I have confirmed my ability to share ideas in a small group setting. My confidence wanted as the

I have confirmed to Learning involved with everyone because each person had a different
schema and each person could contribute information to the community.

progressed. Both my partner and I utilized our strengths for the project and I feel as though we
worked together but also independently when needed.

I am becoming more confident in not necessarily knowing the answer to a problem. I still prefer

My worry now is explaining the situation in simple terms for a student to understand. I have
been improving throughout the various activities and collaborations with peer.

I found a resolution to the I need to know questions and more information behind concepts.
Simply, how would I use the information and how practical is the information for future use?
Though more information can be found about concepts, how useful would it be and is a general

behind; it is being selected based on its usefulness instead of just for its relation to a concept.

Class Expectations:

I am confident that I will be able to attend class on time and regularly. If Im late its because of
the traffic, or an accident happen.

I miss one day from class and I cant catch all of my work, now on I will continue attending the entire
classes and keep catch all my work.

I am confident that I can fully participate in all class sessions because I want to understand all the

I still need to work on becoming interactive in the class. I participate mostly in the small group activities.
Most of the small group activities have been helpful in showing how to verify information using multiple
sources and knowing what questions to ask.

I dont have any problem, I worked with my group and I took responsibility for developing my
scientific self and we are working helped with our partner. I am working with my partner with
our final project and it very helpful because we helped each other and communicated to each
other. I thought our final project is better than individual work sometime.

instructed because I have done it in several times especially my ENGL 111 class I have taught for
using the guidelines.

I thought I am doing well on my APA or paper documents but I notice that I still have problems
were with the APA formatting, grammar in structure sentence.

I have no problems with my APA formatting, because people at learning center have helped me
and gave me instruction. But I am still struggle with grammar, because English is my second
language.

Ive had learn different learning styles throughout my service learning experiences.

My preference for learning through presentations or book readings has changed. I barely liked the method
to begin with and the experiments allowed me the chance to take a chance. I have the opportunity to
experiment while having the freedom to collaborate to ask questions. The group work still is my favorite
way to learn in the class because inquiry needs to use discussion to engage the students. Discussions
further the student knowledge and allows peers to help each other.

The grading system has been fine for me and my preferences have changed slightly. I still enjoy the
individual work as a measure of my success rather than group work. The small groups have been working
well and I feel as though I can trust others to do their part more than at the start of the class.

Individual work and group work is very important for grade. And I will carry on to my future class and
have student work individual and group. I will grade student depend of their hard work and understanding

I dislike talking in large group discussions. I just like to listen to others people, I speak when I am either

participate if not in front of the entire group. I dislike asking questions or sharing ideas in a small group in
a way because of my introverted personality. I tolerate small groups and the collaboration but feel like my
best work is done when alone.

End: Summarize your thinking about this section related to this course. How might this
experience influence you in the future?

Working in with my final project in small group was amazing, my partner helped and I dont know when
is come to presentation and I feeling kinds of nervous but I believe I can do it. I hope everything go well
on our last day of presentation. No matter what and I will do my best and preparing and ready for my
presentation. I will also carry it into my future teacher and have student working with presentation and
give student time on their work to be prepare and allow students chance to improve their learning.

I dont have it at the movement.

This class is the best and a lot of written and group work, but I enjoy learning difference
during this semester in this class and I will carry on to my future classes. And I wish
every GOOD LUCK!
