Intent: A banishing spell to rid myself of all barriers keeping me from finding love and

romance.

Time: To be cast at the dark of the moon, at night, during the hour of Mars.
Best Emotional State: Angry and generally upset and frustrated.
Items: Standard altar equipment with a fire oriented banishing incense, red and black
candles and a medium length piece of black silk cord. The Alter is placed facing South.

Outcome: I performed a version of this ritual (less well designed than the one below, but
still quite similar) and after many odd and chaotic relationships, my wife and I fell in love
(about 2.5 years later) and were married 3 months later, we have been together since then
(7.5 years).

I) Cast the Circle:

Cast the circle three times, deocil starting at the South.
First, with Salt, declaring:
Around, around, it shall be as sound as it were bound.
Then with the Athame, declaring:
Athame, draw the circle roundabout. Power stay in, world
stay out.
Then the with the Censer:
Three times around, three times about, the world within, the
world without.

II) Call the Quarters:

SOUTH: Lords and Ladies of the South,
Drakes of Fire, of burning
conflagrations and hot passion,
Bless and aid this Ritual.
WEST: Lords and Ladies of the West,
Drakes of Water, of cleansing wave
and abyssal depths
Bless and aid this Ritual.
NORTH: Lords and Ladies of the North,
Drakes of Earth, the dark place
that is the home of all endings,
Bless and aid this Ritual.
EAST: Lords and Ladies of the East,
Drakes of Air, of icy intellect
and fierce hurricanes, Bless and
aid this Ritual.
SPIRIT: To the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars,
To the dread Morrigan, to Fiery Bel, and
To all the Spirits gathered here,
Bless and aid this Ritual I am about to perform.
So Mote It Be!

III) Calling Deities

Dread Morrigan, my dark patron, I call you here to help rid me of all barriers keeping me from
finding romance. Grant me your powers of destruction on this your night.
Bel, lord of bright flames, I call upon your sacred fires to consume all that I wish to rid myself
of.

IV) Charging the Representation:

Face South and take the silk cord from the alter: I summon before me, from within and from
without mysel,f every deed, every thought, and every chance that keeps me from attaining lasting
romance and true love. I summon destructive thought, I summon thoughtless behaviors, I call
everything that keeps me from attaining this desire to appear before me NOW!
Touch mouth to the cord (make certain to get saliva on the cord): As like touches like, I call all
you ill thoughts, misdeeds, and misfortunes from me into this cord anointed with the water of my
mouth.
Prick finger and touch blood to the cord: With all my heart, I call all you ill thoughts, misdeeds,
and misfortunes from me into this cord anointed with my blood.
I bind all harmful thoughts keeping me from romance into this ebon cord (tie first tight knot in
the cord)
I bind all ill-done deeds keeping me from finding true love into this black cord (tie 2nd knot in
cord)
I bind all chances and misfortunes keeping me from finding a lifemate into this dark cord (tie the
third and final knot in the cord).
Wave cord quickly through the candle: Drakes of Fire, sear the misfortune keeping me from
finding true love within this binding.
Dip one end of the cord into the chalice: Drakes of Water, soak into this cord and ensure that all
of the feelings bound here cannot escape.
Dip the other end of the cord into the salt: Drakes of Earth, I summon the mighty pressures of
your depths to bind every earthly thing keeping me from love in this cord.
Wave the cord through the incense: Drakes of Air, use your cunning to trap every ill thought
keeping me from love into this cord.
Stand in the center looking up and holding cord over head and shout:
Morrigan, Heron your priest calls upon your dark majesty to contain everything keeping me
from finding my lifemate within this silken cord.
V) The Banishing:
Face South, summon up all anger and frustration, hold the cord taught and chew through it and
then shout: I break you and destroy you utterly, and as you break all the bonds keeping me from
true love are forever broken.
Light small cauldron: Bel, I call you into this pure and cleansing fire. Come here and prepare to
receive and utterly destroy this cord and that all it contains. Bel, Bel, Bel, Bel, Bel, Bel, Bel, Bel,
Bel!
Feed the cord into the cauldron and shout:
Burn, Burn, Burn!
Gone are the ill thoughts keeping me from true love!
Gone are the misdeeds keeping me from lasting romance!
Gone and the misfortunes keeping me from my lifemate!
When the cord is all burning in the cauldron, chant Burn & Be Gone! over and over, until the
power reaches the right level,, then let it go (either as or just after the cord is fully consumed into
ash).

VI) Asking the Spirits to depart:

South: Lords and Ladies the South & Drakes of flame and passion,
ere ye depart for your realm, Hail and Fairwell.
West: Lords and Ladies of the West & Drakes of the western ocean,
ere ye depart for your realm, Hail and Fairwell.
North: Lords and Ladies of the North & Drakes of the mighty earth,
ere ye depart for your realm, Hail and Fairwell.
East: Lords and Ladies the East, Drakes of storms and of the breath
of life, ere ye depart for your realm, Hail and Fairwell.
At the Center: Morrigan and Bel, and all the Spirits gathered
here, depart or stay as you will, I give thanks
for your aid in this ritual.

VII) Ground the Circle:

Grasp the staff and move to the center of the circle,
As the staff is lowered toward the ground chant:
The circle sinks into the ground. It never was and ever
shall be. Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again!
On the last word, the staff touches the ground and the energy
is discharged.
