The English Language
Should you require the English Language programme,
youll need plenty of practice to get your written

to commence your flight training. Thats why the
Foundation English courses are fully immersive.

face and computer-based lessons. This will also
be accompanied by homework to be completed at

The Foundation English courses are divided into two phases based on your proficiency level.
The duration for Phase 1 is four-and-a-half months, and Phase 2 is six months.

Aviation Sciences Programme
Over a period of 7 months, the Aviation Science course will introduce you to the technical and
theoretical aspects of aviation.

Just like the English Language Programme course, youll immerse yourself in 30 hours
of Aviation Sciences instruction every week. As well as using a variety of face-to-face and
computer-based instructional methods, there will also be some homework to complete on
weekends.

What
_ this course includes
Some of the subjects youll study will include Meteorology,
Principles of Flight, Navigation, Flight Planning, Aircraft
Performance and a few more. There will also be site visits to
places of interest, such as the ATC Tower and the Engineering
Department. At the end of the course, youll undertake a
series of written and verbal tests to assess your learning. If
successful, youll move on to the Ground School.

ATPL Integrated Programme
This programme this consist of ATPL Ground School, Single Engine flight training, Multi Engine Jet
flight training, MCC and LOFT.

Youll begin training for your Air Transport Pilots License at the Ground School. This is an intense
period of theoretical knowledge study, requiring you achieve 14 exams overseen by the General Civil
Aviation Authority (GCAA), the UAEs governing aviation regulatory body.

Similar to previous courses, youll have to attend 30 hours of training every week, using a variety of
face-to-face and computer-based instructional methods not to forget additional homework.

Single Engine Training
Your experience at the Flight School starts with two
weeks of classroom-based instruction on the Cirrus
SR22 G6 aircraft. This is followed by more than 200
hours of simulator and aircraft flying instruction in
the SR22 G6, culminating in your undertaking the
Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL) flying skills test and
Single Engine Instrument Rating (SEIR) skills test.

During this period of training, which lasts approximately 7 months,
you will be instructed in:

Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)

earned this qualification, youll proceed to a more advanced flying
training using a twin jet aircraft.

Multi-Crew
Cooperation Training
So far, all your flying training has been aimed at
teaching you how to fly single engine and twin jet
aircrafts as the Pilot in Command. In this next
phase, youll need to learn how to interact in a
multi-crew flight deck environment, enabling
you to assume the two distinct roles of Pilot
Flying (PF) and Pilot Monitoring (PM) covering
separate responsibilities each.

Line Oriented Flight Training
This is your final phase of instruction at the Emirates
Flight Training Academy. The Line Oriented Flight
Training (LOFT) is your opportunity to put all your
training and experience into practice, with 14 hours of
flying in a multi-engine in multi-crew mode.

What this course includes

Youll operate the aircraft in both Pilot Flying (PF) and Pilot
Monitoring (PM) roles. This involves departures and approaches
in European airspace, communication with Air Traffic Control
and extreme weather conditions. Depending on the time of year
you start LOFT, you may get to experience reduced visibility
condition and cold weather operations, including ice and snow
contaminated runways. Alternatively, youll gain experience in
hot and high-elevation airports, familiarising you with restricted
performance concerns such conditions may bring.

When you have successfully completed the LOFT phase, youll


be ready to begin your flying career.
