It is intended that students perform an exhaustive analysis of the different

economic, labor, money, etc.) of Latin America with the United States. To

mechanism or integration bloc of the chosen countries with the United
States.

INSTRUCTIONS TO DEVELOP THE PROJECT

This project should be done in groups of three or four students. For each of the deliveries must be
submitted a report specifying: research sources, and the results of the investigation based on the
information given.
Through an exhaustive research of sources, analysis of previous experiences and review of general
bibliography, students should broaden the knowledge about free trade agreements, and what Latin
American countries have made to get them, not only with the United States with other countries in
the world, even in their own region.
The group should choose a geographical area or group of countries, analyzing the possibility of
creating an area of integration with the United States, in a particular subject or group of subjects. They
may define it with the investigated examples and previous experiences, as well as the information
provided by high-level experts; which are the most relevant fields to develop that area, mechanism or
integration bloc with the United States, and whether it is possible to extend it to another group of
countries in the region.
The main objective is that students can prospect integration options in at least some area and the
implications, requirements, costs, rights and obligations this would bring, both for the group of
selected countries and for the United States.
To achieve the goal, the group will perform three deliveries:
In the first delivery (week 3), the group must submit a document with the first part of the "Research
Project" with the aspects of this type of material.
In the second delivery (week 5), the group must deliver a document with the second part of "research
project".
In the third delivery (week 7), the group must deliver the final developed work, obtaining the
achievement of the objectives.

For this delivery, students should prepare a document containing the first part of the research project.
It must contain at least the following aspects
Title of the project
Introduction
Research Problem
Hypothesis
Justification
General objectives
Specific objectives
The document must be made with APA style
Characterization of the countries from: General Information (population, language, religion, etc.)
Economy (analysis of the main economic indicators, GDP, inflation, unemployment, etc.).Culture
(general aspects of culture; culture of doing business).

For this delivery, students should prepare a document that includes the second part of the research
project. This document shall contain, in addition to the first delivery:
Theoretical framework
Legal framework
Conceptual framework
The document must be made with APA style
