lass is only as good as its batch recipe. In
view of constantly changing raw material
compositions, especially when recycling glass is used,
the calculation of the optimum ingredients of raw
materials for a given glass composition is a decisive
factor in glass manufacture.
The best possible agreement between nominal
and actual analysis of the glass as well as the
resultant glass properties makes it necessary to
consider all important factors, such as losses due to
evaporation and saturation.
BatchMaker fullls these basic requirements in a
convenient and exible manner and moreover offers
many practical functions and tools. Data storage in
the open XML format also simplies data exchange
with laboratory management systems and batch
plants.
