MS. KIRSTEN SAENZ

EAST ALTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
1035 WASHINGTON AVE.
ALTON, IL 62002

Dear Ms. Saenz,

I am looking forward to working with you in your 3rd grade classroom at East Alton
Elementary School. As an education at Principia College, I am currently involved in a
learning program studying teaching concepts to help grow my teaching ability and
understanding. I am excited to help in your classroom as I am looking to grow through
experience and expand my teaching portfolio.

I am currently volunteering at a local Boys and Girls Club, and have had experience
teaching and working with elementary-level students in a summer camp setting. As a
former sailing instructor at a boys and girls summer camp in Maine, I have experience
spending time counseling and teaching elementary school aged children. My experience
will make me an asset to your classroom as I am adaptable, hands on, and assertive in all
areas needed.

Your school setting is a great place for me to begin my journey of understanding where I
envision myself in the field of education. As I gain experience in your classroom, I hope to
insert myself into new challenges and become a confident educator. It is my goal to
combine my previous experience with my ability to be a team player, enthusiastic, and pro-
active, into an intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to your classroom.

Sincerely,

Amelia Gill
