Mind-Body: Meditation, acupuncture, and yoga
This technique strengthens the communication
between the mind and the body.
Manipulative and body-based practices:
Massage therapy and spinal manipulation.
Complementary / Alternative
Example of Complementary: Spinal manipulation with pain
medications to treat pain of scoliosis.

Meditation and relaxing lavender aromatherapy with

(complementary) or without (alternative) anxiety medications to
help relax for people with diagnosed anxiety.

Example of Alternative medication: Using acupuncture instead

of medication to treat pain.
