Attendance
This subject is primarily practical in nature and conducted in a lab. Regular attendance is important for success and
the student is expected to attend all classes. When absent, the student will miss important concepts, work time on the
exercises and contact time with the instructor. If a student is absent from class, it is his/her responsibility to catch up
on missed work prior to the next class.
Projects
Students will be expected to demonstrate their understanding of the course material by applying it to assigned
projects.
Weekly Homework
There is a large amount of information to cover in this subject so students are expected to spend time outside of class
hours to complete homework. Homework provides an opportunity for students to become actively engaged in their own
learning. Homework will not be evaluated. However, quizzes and tests are based in part on the homework that is
assigned.
Quizzes
Quizzes will be given regularly. They will cover information presented each week and also from the assigned readings.
Midterm Test
Material for the test will be taken directly from the material presented in lecture class and from assigned homework.
Final Exam
It is typically 2 hrs in length. Questions are similar in format to those given on the midterm test, however, the scope of
the exam covers the entire semester.
Academic Dishonesty
It is not difficult for the professor to detect when students have copied from others. If this happens, all the students
involved will receive a mark of zero. Details of the incident will be forwarded to the Dean. The Dean will determine if
further action is necessary. Consult the student handbook for the college wide policy on this subject.
