Most persecuted Minority on Earth

The Rohingyas are a group of Islamic people living in Myanmar, Burma who are being

persecuted and removed from their homes by means of violence and denigration. They have

lived in said territory for many generations and are now being forced out of their position since

19821. How is the Rohingya situation against Budhhist and Islamic tradition and religious

teachings? This is the question that we must ponder.

The use of violence and abusive measures in persecuting citizens are not a valid part of

these eastern religions and their practices. The rape, torture, violence and plundering of homes

with rockets are of a morally incorrect nature and should not be seen as attempts from an entire

religious practice2. Buddhist teaching states that they are peaceful and are not allowed to kill.

Even Islamic teaching states that peace is to be made with those of the surounding regions. We

must remember that terrorist group are not the main spring of Islam. Those people involved in

these heinous crimes against God and man are misinterpretations of the scriptures and not based

upon truth. Although these murderous swine are still apart of Islam they are not the heart of

Islam! Hatred in all its grievious forms are not right, nor are they coming from a merciful God.

The Rohingya are fleeing for their lives into uninhabitable territories and the Government

refuses to even address the issue with other officials who have risen up to defend them. They

have been banned from basic human rights in some cases and also the ability to practice their

religion and run for public office. They are a hiss and a byword and being scattered across the

country with little or no hope.

In conclusion we can only do just that, hope that in the future the Burman government will

reconsider their biased and unreasonable treatment of these beligered people. As groups go in to

succor their distress and petition their government for redress and more aid giving these people

new homes, better locations, and clean necessities. Perhaps someday the Rohingya may have the

freedom that their children unoticably dream of at night; not even realizing its a dream and

reality but only that this massacre is a way of life. Eventually the government may come to

realize that the Rohingya people can be of great worth and use in building the economyand

raising up a better nation than before.
