Monday, December 4
Acts 11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed,
and turned unto the Lord.
Mighty God and Merciful Savior:
I want more than a faith of mediocrity and indifference. A change in the
weather impacts some people more than the possibility of heaven or potential of
hell. Apathy is nothing but dishonest unbelief. I want a faith that works,
because I want to see __________ and __________ believe for themselves, and
get saved! Let me see an example of revival among the lost, so people trust their
souls to Jesus this winter.
The Book says after they believed, they also turned unto the Lord. Dear God,
this is lacking for a lot of people, and my heart breaks at it. Many of the men and
women who have come to Christ have not yet given-up their idols, and have yet
to start living lives to the glory of God. I confess Lord, this is our state. Father,
give us revival in the lives of the newly-saved. Only your Spirit can bring it about.
I plead with you to honor your Son and do it by his grace.
Help them recognize, to turn to God means to turn from love of sin. Not
that we never sin anymore, but we hate it when we do. If I look sin-ward I have
turned my back to you. Give me complete conversions, so when people turn
from the foolishness of their wickedness they also turn to the glory of God.
I cannot be satisfied with the results of this holiday season unless you use
me to lead people all the way from repentance toward God, to a loathing of their
sins, and then an actual forsaking of those sins in life. For this I turn to you and
seek you in prayer, because that is an inward type of revival that is more than just
show. I yield obediently to you today so it might be truest in my own life first.
Make it spread afterwards then to others, dear Jesus. Amen.

Tuesday, December 5
Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to
have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and
when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Merciful Master:
Satan wants to sift me, with the hope I am blown away with the husks and
chaff. It would satisfy him to have me in his power all my life. He knows he
cannot destroy me, so he is especially trying to worry me. And since he cannot
devour me he tries to defile me. He cannot ruin my soul so he removes my peace.
1 Pet. 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the
appearing of Jesus Christ:
I know why sifting is allowed. You let the Devil proof-test precious metals
in your treasury. But Lord, overrule all Satans destructive goals of sifting. So
much so, my wheat is made into clean grain today. Part of the preciousness of my
faith is its usefulness and strength from being tempered in trials.
As a parent I might need affliction, because a mother or father without a
trial can never give good counsel to a tempted child. I must recognize, special
discipline qualifies me for special ministry. Make the roughness of my own road
teach me to lead your other sheep along their difficult pathways. Make me a
better discipler because of my pain.
Remind me Lord, I can only follow where you have gone first, and I go
with your intercession. You made provision for all my future needs by a prayer
that is already presented. Satan may have his sieve, but as long as my Lord Jesus
wears the breastplate of a praying High Priest, I cannot be destroyed by Satans
sifting. For this Lord, I praise you today. Amen.
FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Friday, December 8
Acts 11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose
about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word
Heavenly Lord and Holy Savior:
The scattering of the disciples resulted in the spread of seed to larger fields!
So also make the malice of Satan the instrument of mercy in our church. No
matter what scattering takes place, help us by your Spirit to persevere in making
your name and your gospel known. Let us see this as our real calling and career.
Today we are not scattered by persecution, but our job responsibilities
often take us other places. Help us see all our travel in light of missionary activity.
Providence operates through economics (or politics), often bidding us to change
cubicles. Wherever we go, help us carry the light, a testimony for Christ.
Open our eyes to how the state in which we live is not an accidental one. It
is not decreed by blind, unplanned fate. There is your providence overseeing it
all. We are placed where we can be a preserving salt, and a sweet savor of Christ
to everyone around. It is your grace that has ordained the relationship between
the people we are around and ourselves. Make us messengers of mercy for
revivals sake, a herald of good tidings, an ambassador for Christ!
Phil. 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
We have revival when we realize the surrounding darkness needs us. It
needs us and not someone else, because we are the ones your providence placed
thereto warn and rebuke some, to encourage and entreat others. Help us start
to work by your Spirit even if we have done nothing before. Give us hope for
those we have given up on! Do this especially as we meet with family and friends

Wednesday, December 6
Deut. 32:36 For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his
servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
Almighty Lord and Gracious Father:
My extremity is your opportunity! What I want to do is lay the lukewarm
and weak condition of your church to heart, and cry to you to raise it up again.
Help me find every possible and right means to bring about revival. When
the way is blocked, and it seems like there is no hope for success, then let me fall
back on the promise of this verse, and plead it with you in prayer.
I believe if I pray in faith, God will return to his church. I think six people
who are on praying ground can pray our church out of any ditch into which we
could fallor bring us even out of the sepulcher where our haters have buried
usand make us live again before you. But there must be an intense
determination of faith. I must have anguish of heart and travail in my own soul
until revival comes.
The fact we come to the end of the rope at the end of the year cheers me.
Because rather than driving me to despair it drives me to pray, and lock wrists
with others in prayer today. When I am so low, there is yet consolation in the fact
I cannot get any lower. Now is the time to hope! Now is the time to have faith
the tide will turn. Now God will raise us up!
You brought us, in the order of providence, to such a state that our power is
gone. We are unable to bring revival to ourselves! All earthly plans fail us. There is
none shut up, or leftno garrison in the city, no soldier in the field, no help on the
horizon. But I beseech you Oh Godnow that all human avenues are
exhaustedfly to us! I do not give up hope in you. I trust in your compassion.
By faith I grasp your promise. May others perceive it with me today. Amen.

Psa. 96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
O Lord to Whom I Sing:
You invite, you incite, and you persuade me to worship you with cries from
my heart. I can sing about you because of what I know about you from creation
present in nature, and from providence acting in history. But the revelation of
salvation outshines them both! If I meditate on salvation then I can proclaim the
good news as I sing. That song is always new, for the message is always fresh to
the person who hears it and understands it. The gospel is always appropriate,
always sure, always perfectso help me always to sing it and say it.
Each day brings a deeper experience of trusting in you. Each day shows me
anew how much I need you. Each day reveals your power to save. Each day the
Holy Spirit works in my heart. Therefore, without ceasing, let me sing your
praise, and not just at Christmas in December.
Psa. 96:7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD
glory and strength.
Let us sing and share your praise until the echo resounds around the globe.
And after we sing to you Lord, let us give unto the Lord. Who can completely
fulfill that obligation? All conceivable honor is due you, and we cannot give you
more than you are owed.
Help me Father to render my worshipnot in a careless, callous, or
superficial fashion, but fervently, earnestly, and from the heart. I lift up my soul
to you today. Give me grace to restore you to your rightful place in my life. Help
me get others to sing the song and give you the glory. The whole universe will
someday be clothed with smiles; let me show my gladness now by my faith that
your reign is soon approaching! Help me exalt you for Jesus sake. Amen.
