9.120 Providing and fixing factory made panel PVC door shutter
consisting of frame made out of M.S. tubes of 19 gauge
thickness and size of 19mm x 19mm for styles and 15x15mm
for top & bottom rails. M.S. frame shall have a coat of steel
primers of approved make and manufacture . M.S. frame
covered with 5mm thick heat moulded PVC 'C' channel of size
30mm thickness, 70mm width out of which 50mm shall be flat
and 20mm shall be tapered in 45degree angle on both side
forming styles; and 5mm thick, 95mm wide PVC sheet out of
which 75mm shall be flat and 20mm shall be tapered in 45
degree on the inner side to form top and bottom rail and 115mm
wide PVC sheet out of which 75mm shall be flat and 20mm
shall be tapered on both sides to form lock rail. Top, bottom and
lock rails shall be provided both side of the panel.

10mm (5mm x 2 ) thick, 20mm wide cross PVC sheet be


provided as gap insert for top rail & bottom rail. paneling of 5mm
thick both side PVC sheet to be fitted in the M.S. frame welded/
sealed to the styles & rails with 7mm (5mm+2mm) thick x 15mm
wide PVC sheet beading on inner side, and joined together with
solvent cement adhesive. An additional 5mm thick PVC strip of
20mm width is to be stuck on the interior side of the 'C' Channel
using PVC solvent adhesive etc. complete as per direction of

Providing and fixing fire resistant door frame of section 143 x 57


mm having built in rebate made out of 16 SWG G.I. sheet (zinc
coating not less than 120 gm/sqm) duly filled with vermuculite
based concrete mix, suitable for mounting 60 minutes fire rated
door shutters. The frame is fitted with intumuscent fire seal strip

required size M.S. laths, interlocked together through their
entire length and jointed together at the end by end locks,

manufactured from high tensile steel wire of adequate strength

8.2 Providing and fixing 18 mm thick gang saw cut, mirror polished,
premoulded and prepolished, machine cut for kitchen platforms,
vanity counters, window sills , facias and similar locations of
required size, approved shade, colour and texture laid over 20
mm thick base cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand),
joints treated with white cement, mixed with matching pigment,
epoxy touch ups, including rubbing, curing, moulding and
polishing to edges to give high gloss finish etc. complete at all
levels.

6 Earthing System comprises of molecularly bonded copper of 99.9% purity on low


carbon steel, having a diameter of 20mm with copper coating thickness of 250
microns, with self-coupling bore and peg arrangement (without the need for external
coupler). The minimum length of the earth rod shall be 3 meters which is either a
single rod or smaller rods with couplers or similar arrangement. Earth enhancing
Non- mineral compound is used for improving the soil conductivity. The material shall be
CPWD/DSR chemically inert to sub soil and shall not pollute the environment. It shall provide a
stable environment in terms of physical and chemical properties and exhibit low
resistivity. It shall not be corrosive to the earth electrode itself. The material should
have a resistivity less than 50 Ohm meter.
FRP Earth electrode inspection chamber with heavy duty cover should be used to
cover the Earth Rod. The chamber should have an inner dimension of 250 mm X
250 mm X 250 mm made of FRP material. Flush Mounted, removable and lockable
cover of the earth pit should be able to withstand 15KN. The earth resistance shall
be less than 1 Ohm. Additional earth electrode shall be driven one over the other to
achieve the specified earth resistance value, if the soil resistivity is found high.

11 Fixing decorative light fitting on ceiling using of 2 nos. wooden round blocks &

12 Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the cubicle panel board in


accordance with IS 3427 and the degree of protection conforming to IS 2147, with
required switchgear, shall be compartmentalised and fabricated with CRCA sheet,
Non- suitable size frame work & required hardware. The panel shall be self standing on
CPWD/DSR M.S. base channel frame work and mounted over floor by means of suitable sizes
M.S. angles, bolts grouted in foundation etc. or wall mounted with proper hanging
arrangement etc.

The flush mounted pin type hinged construction panel door shall be interlocked with
switchgear such that no door can be opened when the switch is in ON position. The
switchgear shall have mechanical arrangement for interlock defeat. The doors shall
have neoprene gasket of not less than 3mm. thickness and shall have copper braid
connection for effective earthing. The covers of bus bar chamber shall be of bolted
type.
The panel shall be totally enclosed, dust and vermin proof, duly painted by either 2
coats of synthetic enamel final paint shall be made over 2 coats of zinc / red oxide
primer or the finished paint shall be stove enameled / powder coated, opaline green
( colour no. 275 of 13:5 ) for external surface & light dove grey / broken white / off-
white / any other colour ( should be approved by Engineer-in-Charge ) for interior
surface after rinsing & providing anti corrosion coats after final paint. All sheet metal
part of the panel should be thoroughly degreased, de-rusted & hot dip phosphatised
before primer is applied.

The design of panel shall be such as to offer maximum safety, ease of maintenance
& replacements. The busbar shall be of high conductivity aluminum alloy electrolytic
grade copper strips. The support for the busbar shall be made by means of non
hygroscopic, non inflammable, epoxy, cast resin insulators, high tensile nuts & bolts
spring washers etc. so that the supports shall be able to withstand thermal &
dynamic stresses due to the system short circuits. All the live parts shall be properly
shrouded with Bakelite barriers. The minimum clearance between live parts, neutral
and earth shall be at least 25mm. The colour coding shall be made with heat
shrinkable PVC sleeves. Arrangement & fixing of bus bars, internal connections etc.
shall be in accordance with IS 375 or its latest version.

The cable termination shall be from bottom for incomer and from top for outgoing
feeders. The detachable gland plates of adequate thickness shall be provided for
cable terminations. Feeder nameplates shall be provided.
Thickness of sheet shall not be less than 1.8mm. upto 600mm. length / width of any
compartment and be of 2mm. above 600mm. Load bearing structure shall be of
2mm. thick sheet supported by base M.S. channel if required.
Side walls & cable alley compartments having bolted type doors with detachable
extension type structure.

All incoming & outgoing feeders of the panel should have individual name inscription
plate(s) giving description(s) of the feeder(s) with 25mm. high letters for identification
of panel & 6mm. high letters for incoming or outgoing feeder(s).
It will be the contractors responsibility to get the fabrication arrangement drawing /
general arrangement drawing approved by Client / Engineer before installation.

The panel builder should have CPRI approval.


The panel shall have the required switchgear including interconnection with copper
wire between busbar and switchgears.

21 Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of maintenance free, low impedance,
fire retardant sandwich type bus riser in accordance with IEC 60439 & BS 5486
( Part II ). The degree of protection conforming to IS 2147 & it shall be IP 54. The
Non- bus riser shall be of 415V, three phase, four wire, 50 Hz, supply with three phase &
CPWD/DSR 100% neutral. The enclosure shall act as 50% integral earth. The minimum short
circuit rated current of the sandwich bus riser should be 50 kA for 1 second.

The enclosure shall be fabricated from 1.6 mm thick ( min. ) electro galvanised steel
sheet, non-ventilated, naturally cooled, totally enclosed protected from any
mechanical damages & dust accumulation. All necessary hardware shall be supplied
along with it. Under normal operating conditions, the temperature rise should not
exceed 55C above an ambient of 40C. Earth strip of min. 25 mm x 6 mm GI on
each side of bus riser shall run continuously all along the system inside. All flanges
shall be suitably jumpered to provide earth continuity.

The flanged end box made of 2mm thick ( min. ) with powder coating and the size of
the holes shall match with the equipment where bus duct will be terminated. There
shall have a MCCB unit of approved make within the flange end box for a better
protection & ease of maintenance.
A maximum three / four units of plug-in holes shall be designed in 3000mm standard
feeder unit on both sides and each plug-in hole shall have 500mm intervals ( min. ).
Plug-in holes should be well designed to prevent improper installation of plug-in box.
The tap off boxes shall be made out of 1.8 mm ( min. ) sheet with lockable door
latch arrangement and suitable for fixing MCB / MCCB / SDF etc. The tap-off-box
should be mechanically locked with the housing.

The entire system consists of required length of straight feeders; wall mounted
flange end box with required flanges, on wall fixing bracket; one no. each of spring
suspension hanger & suspension bracket with proper spacer unit at each floor;
required no. of tap-off-box(es) & all other fixing materials as required in all respect.
The complete system of bus riser is required for following rating, inclusive of all as
specified above & all taxes, transportation charges etc. The tap off outlets are with
finger proof safety block to prevent access to live bus bars when not in use.

ASSEMBLE AT VARIOUS ASSEMBLY POINTS.

C) IF POSSIBLE TRY TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE BY USING NEAREST / SUITABLE PORTABLE


EXTINGUISHER OR WATER FROM NEAREST WET RISER.

D) BE CALM AND DO NOT GIVE ANY ROOM FROM PANIC, WALK, DO NOT RUN.

E) IF YOU ENCOUNTER SERIOUS DIFFICULTY IN EVACUATION, FLAT AND TRY TO ATTRACT
