Jennifers Journal Fruit Trees

Jennifer, a middle school earth science teacher, wrote down a vivid dream the Lord gave
her the week after school started. After she recorded the dream in her journal she wrote down
the scriptures and messages she believed the Lord wanted her to receive from this dream in
the form of devotional letters from Him. This is the third set of scriptures and letter she
received.

Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month
they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for
healing. (Ezekiel 47)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

My Beautiful Fruit Tree,

You are a tree of righteousness I have planted in education. Keep your leaves absorbing my words, the Sons shine. Receive
the rain (reign) of my Holy Spirit. Allow your roots to grow into my underground springs, the Bible and revealed wisdom. Allow your
roots to grow into the river which flows out from under your church door to you here at your school. Ask church members to pray with
you and for you in this mission field of public education.
You will bear the fruit of my Spirit every month, week, day, hour, minute and second that you are in school this year. The
different fruits I have created you to bear are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-
control.
Your life in education the creative divine lessons I will give you, your listening ear, your words, your prayers,
and your touch, when combined with this fruit, will help heal students, staff, and parents. FRUIT BE in you! FRUIT BE in
the students, staff and parents you serve!
Love Your Arborist,

Jesus

Prayer: Lord, plant us spiritually deep in our professional lives so we might continually bear more fruit of your Spirit. When students,
staff members, or parents take a bite out of us, may they taste only you.
Reflection: What fruit of the Spirit do I bear the least of? What fruit of the Spirit do I bear the most of? What does the Lord want me to
do to bear more fruit for Him?
Getting Real: Post the names of the fruit of the Spirit somewhere in your classroom where you will see them daily as a reminder of
what you are to bear for Jesus in the school. (See attached poster.)
