Diary

Aim - 4th October 2017

The aim of my project today is to create my diary which will include my aims, evidence and what I
have learnt. I shall do this after checking my emails and ensuring that my phone in switched off and
put away. I will then begin to create my new project as well as a testing table. To guarantee I have
enough space on my computer I will delete any practice projects I have created.

Evidence

when I began using director the stage was set to the correct size; 640 x 480.

To save time in future lessons, I placed the majority of my assets in director so

that they can be easily located.

To create the first page of my multimedia product, I have added a

background to the page as well as setting the logo to slide onto the stage. I
have also added an enter button that is similar to the ones seen on my
mood board, as well as a close button.

Aim 5th October 2017

I shall check my emails and make sure I have my ID. After I have done this I will turn my phone off
and check my ILP. I will then continue to create my multimedia project whilst regularly testing it and
putting my results in a testing table.

Evidence
 the next page I have created is the contents page. I have added a
background image of Paris as seen in my mood bard as well as three roll
over images that change image once the mouse hovers over them. A
back-button has also been included to take the viewer to the splash page.

On my sub contents page, I have set the background image as well as the
logo. The back button has been placed in the same place as on previous
pages to give the layout a professional look. More rollover images have
been used to show the categories. Under every image is the name of the
place that has been shown in form of a button.

Aim 6th October 2017

Today I shall check my emails and check my ILP. After I have done this I will turn off my phone so I
can concentrate on my product. I will then work on my multimedia project whilst frequently filling in
my diary and testing table.

Evidence

I have created another page for Paris. I have set the Eifel tower as the
background as well as importing the text Paris onto the page with fade
effects. I have also included pictures with a rollover effect by dragging
the rollover button that is located under automatic animations.
Another feature I have added is a video which come with both play and
pause controls as well as a volume button. Lastly, I have added a back
button on the bottom left of the page, which will take the audience back
to the sub contents page.

For my next page Machu Picchu I have set the background as the
place itself. The logo and back button remain in the same place so the
layout appears consistent. The title of the page Machu Picchu is seen
zooming into the page along with the images and text provided. For
the text, I have included a scroller so that the audience is able to read
all of the information that is provided.
Today I managed to complete four pages, however due to a failure I lost three pages. By the end of
the lesson I managed to have a complete page and downloaded a video.

Aim 9th October 2017

The aim for today includes logging in and checking my emails as well as turning my phone off and
completing my ILP. When this has been done, I will continue to make progress on my multimedia
product. Whilst Im doing this I shall be continuedly adding to my diary and testing table.

Evidence

Continuing creating pages for places, today I created a page for

Mauritius. I have set the background as the island along with adding
the back button and logo that is seen on every page. I have added a
title that slides into the page using an animation. An automatic
animation has also been used on the images, these include a rollover
and a slide in.

Hawaii was the next page I created. After setting an image as the
background, I proceeded to add any images that include both a
rollover effect and an automatic zoom out.

To make sure my pages stop, I have set a demand that states go to the Frame. This will ensure my
product has a steady flow.

After finishing the section places I began to make the sub contents page for experiences. To do this
I created another page and set a background of the northern light as this is one on my experiences.
I have imported four rollover images for each of my experiences including; camel riding, the blue-
lagoon, the northern lights and snorkelling. Located under each image is the title of each section that
is also a button. Using the navigation behaviour, I set the buttons to take you to the correct age.

Aim - 11th October 2017

After logging in and checking my emails, I will check my ILP and complete any milestones that must
be completed. I will make sure to regally fill in my diary with the progress I have been making with
my product as well as fill in my testing table and sources document.
Evidence

on my snorkelling page, I have included the title snorkelling that has a fade
in effect. I have also put in two image that have a fade effect with a
rollover. My snorkelling page also includes a 30 second video which fades
in.

The next page I have created is camel riding. To do this I set the background and
added the logo. The back button was also placed at the bottom left to take the
audience to the sub contents page. I have included four photos that have a slide
in affect along with a rollover. The text also has a slide in affect and placed with a
scroller.

After reviewing this page, I decided to add a cycle graphic to this page as I had extra images to use.

The blue lagoon was the next page to be created. I have inserted an image of the blue
lagoon as the background then added the logo at the top of the page. A title fades in under
the logo along with four images and the text. On one of the images I have used a cycle
graphic. I have done this by placing the images next to each other on a loop. I have used
four animations of the images including zooming in as well as fading in. I have chosen these
effects as they look the most professional.

I have created another page for the norther lights, the last page for places. I have
inserted a title for the page that I had previously made in photoshop. I have also inserted
the background as four other images. Like the other pages these also have a fade in affect.

To begin my last category I have created a new frame on 267 and imported a background
image. The logo was next to be imported along with the title.

I have set the title to slide in along with the images. The images also use a rollover effect.
 I then added my back button and sent it to page 61, which is the contents page. The
other buttons were followed after including the paragliding button, the jet skiing button,
the parachuting button and swim with sharks button.

Aim- 12th October 2017

As today is the last day I have complete the project, will add any finishing touches to the multimedia
product. Before this, I will check my emails as well as my ILP and ensure any milestones is complete.
I will ensure my diary is complete along with my testing table.

I began the lesson by creating my bungee jumping page at frame 283. I then placed
the logo at the top centre as well as the back button which I then set to take it to
the frame 268. I then added four images that include rollover effects. I have done
this by dragging rollover member change to the images. Lastly, I inserted the text.
To do this I copied the information I had typed into word and pasted it on to the
stage. To ensure all the text could be seen I added a scrolling effect.

To begin my next page, I created a new frame, this one was 297. I had then
inserted the back button and made sure that sent me back to the right frame. I
then inserted the logo to the top of the page.

I have then inserted a title that was made in photoshop to slide in to the stage.
The images were next to be added along with the text. Where I had also added
a slide in effective.

I had then created another frame, this one being 314. Ive added a
background as well as the logo. I then inserted the back button in the bottom
right corner and made sure it sent me to the sub contents page.

I have now added the images as well as the text and added a slide in effect.
 The last task I had to complete to finish my product was add an exit button as well
as controls. I had done this by inserting an image of the button an added the word quit in to the
script.
