The course is topic based and designed to enhance intermediate l
evel students English listening, speaking, reading and writing
Course skills. Students will learn to communicate within the context of
Description topics relating to travel and vacations, daily routines, acciden
ts and injuries, ways of communicating, appearance, occupations,
and future plans by listening to and practicing various types of
dialogues, reading and discussing texts (1400~1800 headwords) re
lating to the themes or reading strategies, and composing paragr
aph writings (around 160 words). The genres include recount, des
cription and classification.

1. comprehend a variety of spoken and written forms of sele
cted text-types.
2. initiate and participate in conversations in pairs.
3. demonstrate comprehension of new texts using the acquire

1. Students are required to attend all the classes on time and a


bide by all the classroom regulations of the college and the ins
tructor.

a. Attendance recording: 10 minutes after the class starts.

b. More than 24 hours of absence means a reduction of 10 points
