- Education specialists have argued that social media has an impact on college

students.

- Teensafe organization recommends parents to educate their kids before allow

them to use social media.

- Many studies have questioned the ability of college students to control their

social media addiction.

- In other words, Bruce Hopkins believes that social media increases students

collaboration.

- Abhishek Karadkar states, students can create other online identities that the real

world does not allow

- Alice Waltons point is that with all the negativity of social media it does not

mean that social media has no benefits.

- Although I disagree with much that Walton says, I fully endorse her final

conclusion that with all the negativity surrounded social media, its still one of the

best things happened in this decade.

- I disagree with Lau view that social media does not help students, because recent

research has shown, that social media could students in education purposes.

- Though I concede that social media has a negative impact on teenagers, I still

insist that teenagers should have freedom for using social media.

5- Saying Why it Matters:

- Recent studies like these shed new light on social media impact on teenagers,

which previous studies had not addressed.

- Ultimately, what is at stake here is social media could be X factor for college

students.

- Although Jim Roberts may seem of concern to only a small group of students, it

should in fact concern anyone who cares about the education system in the United

States.
