About Molecular Modelling
To describe phenomena such as micro-crack forma-
tion or DNA-folding or fluid transfer through nano-
channels etc. which are occuring at spacio-temporal
scales of nanometeres and nanoseconds, conven-
tional continuum based numerical schemes fail and
it requires new approach known as molecular mod-
elling.Here matter is assumed as a collection of dis-
crete molecules/atoms and interparticle forces dic-
tate the dynamics. Moreover a robust theoretical
framework-Statistical Mechanics -is well developed
and can be employed for the computer modelling of
molecules/particles transport
LAMMPS and more.
Objectives
This course is envisaged to inculcate the fundamen-
tal molecular theory and numerical solutions to the
micro/nano scale phenomena to the teaching frater-
nity. The participants will get an oppurtunity to
interact with the expert resource persons in the field
of molecular modelling and that will help them to
find the new avenue for research.

Who can participate
Teaching faculty from any of the AICTE recognized
colleges in india in any discipline are eligible to ap-
ply for the course. Preference will be given tojunior
faculty members.
Accomodation
Candidates will have to make their own arrange-

Faculty members of Government/Aided/Government
controlled Engineering colleges shall be admitted

without course fee. However, the teachers from other
