Directions: Read the dialogue aloud with your teacher.

Tony is excited to know about the new neighbors that came. He informs Alex of it.

Alex: Hi, Tony, how have you been?

Tony: Ive been fine. By the way, Im so excited to see our new neighbors!

Alex: New neighbors?

Tony: Yes, new neighbors! Havent you heard new neighbors moved in?

Alex: No, I havent. Tell me more.

Tony: Ive heard they came from Scotland!

Alex: So they are foreigners! I see.

Tony: Yes, Ive heard they are Scottish! Im so excited to see and hear their English. I suppose it is completely

different from our American English in terms of accent, pronunciation and idioms. Maybe our English is

kind of a dialect for them.

Alex: I dont think so. Our English is similar to be on a level with their English. But anyway, lets meet them and

talk!

Tony: Yes, lets go!
