CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
In one academic model [4] mobile banking is defined as:
Mobile banking refers to provision and availment of
banking and financial services with the help of mobile
telecommunication devices . The scope of offered services may
include facilites to conduct bank and stock market
transactions, to administer accounts and to access customised
information .
Over the last few years, the mobile and wireless market
has been one of the fastest growing markets in the world
particularly in india and is still growing at a rapid pace. Because
of the high mobile phone penetraction in india, bank are using
mobile phones as a delivery channel for offering banking
products and services.
Mobile banking is a term used for performing banking
transactions via mobile phone. It is most often performed via
SMS or Mobile internet with mobile technology, banks can
offer a wide range of services to their customers such as doing
fund transfer and balance enquiries while travelling,receiving
online updates of stock prices or even performing stock trading
while travelling.
1.1. Relevence of the study
The study is so significant because the banks now
going for offering all products through Mobile phones .But
researher doubts about the knowledge of these banking
products by the residents of Melukavu Grama Panchayathu.

1.2.Statement of the problem


The research work aims at analysis the mobile
banking awareness among residents of Melukavu Grama
Panchayathu.

Appropriate books, journals and websites are referred
by the researcher.

1.4. objectives of he literature


The following objectives were set to study the Mobile
Banking awareness among resident of Melukavu Grama
Pnchayathu.

1.5.Hyopothesis
The following hypothesis are framed for the purpose of
the study. There were sighnificant differences among residents
of Melukavu Grama Panchayathu as regards in Mobile Banking
awareness.
1.6. Methodology
The study is based on primary data and secondary
data. Primary data are collected with help o interview schedule
by usig probability range of sampling as first stage of sampling
the total number of respondents in Melukavu Grama
Pachayathu were collected which came into 1250 ou of which
15 respondents were selected at random.

The study is conducted the day january 2017

The study is limited among respondent of Melukavu
Grama Panchayathu.

The data collected were analysed in the help of simple
percentage analysis and there point rating scale.

Time and money are the major limitations of the study.

The project divided into four chapters.
Chapter 1- Introduction.
Chapter 2- Mobile Banking Awareness among
residents of Melukavu Grama Pachayathu.
