In Local News

In the Franklin Borough of Sussex a man on trial for manufacturing guns is now facing

more jail time.

Franklin Borough police have said that Russell Watt was custom making firearms at his

job at MJS Precision. While searching his home, police found 10 semi-automatic and full

automatic weapons, none of which had serial numbers.

Watt was arrested on November 14 and has been charged with several gun offenses.

After much consideration, and additional search warrant which led to police finding more

weapons in Watts home. A long gun was found along with another hand gun and

several hundred rounds of ammunition.

Watt is expected in court Monday the 20th.

The Freehold treasurer of the youth soccer league was found guilty after

admittedly stealing over $400,000.

Anthony Gallo pled guilty in court Monday to stealing money that was supposed

to go to new jerseys and equipment. The league started the investigation when they

learned that the bill for the new uniforms were not paid.
Gallo admitted that he stole the money between 2012 and 2016. Gallo faces 6

years in prison and must pay $280,000 when he is sentenced in January.

In National News

Senator Al Franken has agree with the ethics probe to conduct an investigation

into himself after a woman accused him for sexually harassing her in 2006.

Following the accusation was photo evidence of Franken groping a woman who

was asleep. The accuser, Leeann Tweeden stated that the senator knew what he was

doing and that he Forcibly kissed her and grabbed her breasts Franken has since

apologized twice since news broke out and has agreed to fully cooperate with the

investigation.

This accusation comes out following the waves of accusations towards people of

popularity or power. Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, and Louis C.K. have all been

accused and have confessed within the last month.

In more national news,

The widely controversial Keystone Pipeline has already leaked a total of 210,00 gallons

of oil in South Dakota. Crews of the pipeline shut down the pipeline on Thursday in an

effort to try and find the source of the leak, which is the largest in the history of it being

built.

The leak comes days before the decision to approve or deny the order to have a

sister pipeline built near the same area. The proposed pipeline would cut through South

Dakota and Montana.

The spill has sparked outrage from environmental activists saying that the spill

alone should be the deciding factor of the proposed sister pipeline.

In world news.

The search for survivors beings after severe floods stop in Greece. A confirmed

15 people have been reported missing due to the deadly flooding. Some of the most

impact damage happened near the capital of Athens.

Roadways are slowly being reopened while areas are still trying to recover from

the damage. Sadly, nursing homes seem to some of the most effected due to the floods.

Many homes exists are blocked by debris from the flooding, which prevents the

evacuation. Many others are left homeless after their homes were destroyed by water and

debris.

A three day state of emergency has been declared while the clean up begins.

Pope Francis has received a special surprise in the Vatican today! An all white

with gold trim Lamborghini pulled up and greeted him outside his Vatican. The car is

estimated at $200,000 and is a totally custom made car. Being the stand up guy that he is,

the Pope smiled, took a picture with it, signed it, and sent it away to be auctioned off to

help the needy.

The main targets of the money will be to help people rebuild their homes in areas

of Iraq that were destroyed by militia and female victims of human trafficking and forced

prostitution .

The New York Rangers 6 game winning streak came to an end the other day. The

Rangers were cruising after 6 straight wins only to be brought down by the Chicago

Blackhawks. Despite 3 goals in the third period the Rangers lost to the Blackhawks 6-3.

The Rangers home to start a new win streak when they face the Blue Jackets on Friday.

In local Field Hockey news,

The Kean Cougars ended their playoff season with a 2-0 loss to Franklin and

Marshall College in the NCAA Quarterfinals. This season was a historic one for the

Cougars with their record of 21-3 record, which was a record breaker for the school. The

goals were scored within 2 minutes of each other in the second half. The Cougars hope to

go all the way next season with the school cheering them all the way.

In Entertainment

The long awaited Justice League movie comes out today and its not looking good

from a critics stand point. The movie is currently rotten with a score of 37%. Many

controversies surround the reviews due to the leak of the core before the official release

date. Many think that due to past reviews of DC superhero movies the website was forced

to coincide with past reviews by giving it a negative score.

Rotten Tomatoes says that the statement is untrue and that their score is generated by the

scores that are given by critics.

Gomez was spotted with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The rumors were addressed by the

two and it has been confirmed that they are indeed dating

Fans of all three parties have mixed feelings about the whole situation and have

been discussing it on popular websites such as Twitter and Tumblr.
