Sitsiritsit, also known as Sitsiritsit Alibangbang, is a Filipino folk song.

This
humorous song describes a flirtatious woman threatening a storeowner that
the ants are going to get him if he is not going to extend credit, as well as unusual
situations of exchanging a child for a doll or bagoong. It is said to have originated
during the country's Spanish colonization, as its lyrics suggest the ordinary life
during that time.

Paru-Parong Bukid (Butterfly from the field)
Few people know that the popular Tagalog folk song Paru-Parong Bukid is
actually a poor translation/rendition of the Spanish original which is
entitled Mariposa Bella.
The original Spanish song was composed during the tumultuous decade of the
1890s. When the genocide of Spanish-speaking Filipinos commenced during the
American invasion, the song itself was included in the casualty little by little,
many people started to forget it especially when the Thomasites began the English-
language campaign in the country. The final nail in the coffin happened in 1938
when the Paru-Parong Bukid that we are all familiar with was released by
Sampaguita Pictures as a soundtrack for the movie of the same name (it starred
legendary actors Rudy Concepcin and Rosario Moreno).

Ang Pipit - is a popular Filipino song about a bird that is known in Tagalog as a pipit.
Many Filipinos dont realize that its an English word too, so they force-translate the
songs title as My Sparrow. The pipit is a bird in the family Motacillidae. In this song, a
bird has her wing injured by a rock thrown by a man, likely from a slingshot. The bird
was so hurt she couldnt fly. Like a person, she spoke up, Oh, cruel man. How pitiless
your heart is. If I die, there is a pipit bird who will cry.

Dandansoy - A popular Visayan folk song is Dandansoy. Note that this is not a
Tagalog song. The Visayan language in which Dandansoy is most often sung is
Hiligaynon Bisaya, also known as Ilonggo. A farewell song; the title is the name of
the boy to whom the singer is saying goodbye.
