3. INTRODUCTION

The objective of this URS is to help the supplier in understanding the end user requirements in
details. This document shall help supplier for developing the functional specification and design
specification for the Weighing Balance (Capacity: 10 Kg)

4. OBJECTIVE

To prepare user requirements specification for the Weighing Balance based upon the in-house
requirement and to ensure that correct Weighing Balance will be designed and purchased.

5. SCOPE

This document shall define the responsibilities, Technical requirement, Functional requirements,
Desirable requirements & documentation requirements for Weighing Balance to be procured for
XL Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. Neemrana.

6. RESPONSIBILITIES

a. Officer or above, of user department is responsible for the preparation of URS.

b. Officer or above, of Engineering and Quality assurance department is responsible for the
checking of URS.
c. Head of Engineering, User department and Quality assurance department is responsible
for the final approval of URS.

7. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Weighing Balance (Capacity: 10 Kg): Quantity: 01 Nos.

Specifications:

a. It should be fully SS having capacity 10 Kg.

b. Balance is required for precise and accurate measurement of masses of specimen sample

c. Must meet all applicable regulatory/pharmacopoeial (USP) requirement of performance

of equipment and its component to ensure accuracy and reproducibility.

d. The equipment should be capable of measuring weight up to 10 Kg.

e. Vendor should define least count, minimum and maximum capacity of the balance.

f. Platform size of weighing balance shall be: 190 mm X 250 mm

g. Large & bright fluorescent display.

h. Calibration certificates shall be provided by vendor.

8. FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

a. Proper earthling should be provided.

b. On power failure equipment should come in failsafe condition.

c. Spirit level should be in-build with all required weighing balances.

9. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Weighing Balance should be user friendly.

All electrical components should be guarded.

10. THE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THE SYSTEM WILL BE INSTALLED AND

OPERATED:

Temperature should not be more than 27 C & RH should not be more than 55%

11. OPERATION TIME:

Continuous Monitoring.

12. COMPATIBILITY AND SUPPORT

Training of following is required

Weighing Balance operation

Maintenance

Installation of equipment
