Recruitment Criteria

Dear all,

I am writing to inform you of an important change to our recruitment process. Due to the
increasing volume of applications we have been receiving, an associate or bachelors
degree will now be the minimum requirement for employment at Anderson Plc. This change
will be effective immediately and will not affect current employees.

Please ensure that all future job advertisements reflect this change, and that successful
candidates are able to present original copies of their academic certificates. There can be no
exceptions to this rule. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, my door is open
for a chat.

Subject: Personal Assistant vacancy

Dear Ms. Holt,

I am interested in the Personal Assistant role advertised on findyourjob.ca and have a few
questions to ask you.

Firstly, Im moving back to my native Toronto from London in mid-April. Would that be
acceptable? I could take part in a video interview at any time.

Secondly, is it OK that I only have an associate, not bachelors, degree? I finished university
in England after two years. However, for the last five years I have worked as a Personal
Assistant responsible for scheduling meetings, booking tickets, managing files and so on.

Thirdly, are staff permitted to work flexible hours? Im used to starting very early and leaving
at 16:00 to collect my daughter from school, as my partner works irregular hours as a nurse.

Lastly, what specific opportunities might there be to move up within Anderson? A career in
public relations has always been of interest to me, but there were no opportunities to
progress within my last organization.

Many thanks in advance,

Oliver Chesham
