Suggested Specification for Large Diameter Valves

Rovalve F-Series Figure F20 Bonnetless Knife Gate Valve
Bonnetless, knife gate valve, ________ psi design for ________ psi CWP. Valve body
shall be made with a fabricated carbon steel frame (flanges and gussets) and heavy
plate formed ________ stainless steel body liner (wetted parts), fabricated steel
packing gland with ________ face-to-face, with stainless steel finish ground or
machined gate. Valve seating shall be provided by a machined metal seat for tight
shut-off in one direction with gate guides and seating wedges adequate to withstand
full reverse pressure without damage with gate in fully closed position. Valve body
shall have multiple layers of braided ASBESTOS FREE TEFLON IMPREGNATED or
equal packing in valve chest to prevent atmospheric leakage. Mating flanges shall be
full round port flanges drilled and tapped to MSS-SP44 through 60, (larger diameter
flanges should be specified by customer) with machined raised gasket faces. Valve is
equipped with a foot-mounted yoke and operator as required. A 304 stainless steel
rising stem to be provided. All nonferrous exterior surfaces shall be painted to factory
standard. Specify Rovalve Figure F20.

Bonneted knife gate valve, ________ psi design for ________ psi CWP. Valve body
shall be made with a fabricated carbon steel frame (flanges and gussets) and heavy
plate formed ________ stainless steel body liner (wetted parts) with ________
face-to-face, with stainless steel finish ground or machined gate. Valve seating shall be
provided by a machined metal seat for tight shut-off in one direction with gate guides
and seating wedges adequate to withstand full reverse pressure without damage with
gate in fully closed position. Bonnet shall be fully rated to the design pressure and
fabricated with carbon steel bonnet flanges and gussets with heavy plate formed
________ stainless steel bonnet liner (wetted parts). Valve bonnet shall be a stem
packed design with multiple layers of braided ASBESTOS FREE TEFLON
IMPREGNATED or equal packing to prevent atmospheric leakage complete with
fabricated steel packing gland Body mating flanges shall be full round port flanges
drilled and tapped to MSS- SP44 through 60, (larger diameter flanges should be
specified by customer) with machined raised gasket faces. Valve is equipped with a
foot-mounted yoke and operator as required. A stainless steel rising stem to be
provided. All nonferrous exterior surfaces shall be painted to factory standard. Specify
