DaVinci Institute Board of Directors: served from 2004-present, including in role of Vice President 2005-
2006, and President from 2011-2014. The DaVinci Institute, Jackson, MI, a public PreK - 12 Charter
School with approximately 400 students. Duties include governance of a public school system, working
with our district superintendent and staff to oversee all school district operations. Responsible for helping
to craft strategic plan to increase district presence from two sites to three, increasing student count from
<200 to 400,
DMC Clinical Transformation Team (2009). Worked with a large multidisciplinary team to develop new
functions in our GE MAC5500 EKG monitors, allowing them to interface successfully with our Cerner
clinical software. This enabled test results to immediately post to patient charts and eliminated
transcription errors. Wrote and published updated policy, and trained all staff in the use and benefits of
the updated functions.
Lighting/Aesthetics Team Leader for Westwinds Community Church, Jackson, MI. (2007-Present)
Requires planning, artistic design, complex wiring and power management, both software and hardware
programming of lights in a large performance area. Position includes supervising a large team of
individuals to ensure a uniform look and feel for each lighting presentation.
