Professional Practice 2 Assessment Task 3

Plan of intent to build relationships

The Elements of the Early Years Learning Framework

(2009, p 10) is the basis of my planning. I draw
elements for this framework to think of ways student
will effectively interact and form a relationship with me.

Principles respect and make students feel safe and

secure around you. Show that you value them and the
things they are interested in. Respect diversity in
cultures, religion and social backgrounds.

Practice be responsive to students and show an interest in thinks they are

interested in. Play and teach them or extend their learning while playing with them.
When transitioning continue to use learning methods, such as transitioning students
from mat to activities after a story. Use the first letter of students names as a way for
them to identify and react, by moving off the mat to choose an activity.

I intend to be caring and kind. Using my manners (please, thank you and excuse me)
and prompting student to use their manners as well. I intend to show empathy to
students if they are not having a good day or have hurt themselves.

I plan to focus most of my lessons based around nature, trees, insects, bugs and
native animals, as these are things the students are interested in.
