Indian Railway is a behemoth having ONE lakh Fifteen thousand kilometers of track length and twelve

thousand six hundred and seventeen trains which carry twenty three million passengers and also employ
One point three million workers directly.

This is a a ministry which was handed over us to us by Britishers in 1947

Friends, there are railway tracks which are older than 100 years boggies unfit as a rtracks which are older
than 100 years boggies unfit as a rolling stock, bridges numbered about 35000 which are on the verge of
collapse.

The Indian railways are in serious danger. Train accidents have become a day to day story and it attracts
headlines only if the casualties are above 100.

Unmanned railway crossings take hundreds of lives, including school children

The Railways are in a PATHETIC condition.

The boggies rattle at a speed of 60 km an hour.

The toilets are the MOST UNHYGEnic place on Earth.

No trains run on time, including the so called Rajdhanis

If the Passengers are not robbed by thieves then the railway protection force will surely do.

ALAS! Our Prime Minister has NO time for these lacunas in the Indian railways. He is changing the Minister
to change the appalling condition of Indian railways.

And sure enough, in an election year another false promise has been served on a silver platter. Have you
received 15 lakh in your account? Soon bullet trains will be in your pocket.

Friends, Bullet train is not (logistically) feasible, not (realistically) possible nor financially viable

According to a recent study by IIM, we need to run ONE HUNDRED Trains a day between Mumbai and
Ahmedabad to service ONLY the interest of the Japanese loans.

Hypothetically if the ticket charge is higher than an air ticket, will any of us take a bullet train ride? The
answer is NO.

What is the cost? It is ONE LAKH TWENTY THOUSAND Crores, but what is the collateral damage to the
existing Dilapidated, degraded Indian railways system which is like a house of Cards.

Let me ask you, DO you want bullet trains or do you want better trains? All of you will agree wutb me that
you need BETTER Trains. Even if you WANT bullet trains, We NEED better trains.

Sequentially BETTER trains come before BULLET trains.

Make train travelling between Ahmedabad and Mumbai a safer, more secure and a joyful ride, Mister
Prime Minister. Then sell to us the DREAM of a bullet train.

Statistically ONE LAKH Twenty THOUSAND CRORES is all that we require to repair, maintain, secure and
make our railways safe. One mans obsession of bullet trains has Derailed the entire Indian railways and
has jeopardized the life and safety of One point three million Indians.
