Subject: Personal Brand Analysis
Date: October 17, 2017

As requested, I have completed all aspects of the personal brand analysis, and this narrative is the
culmination of the information I have gathered about myself. The knowledge that was derived
from the self-assessment and audience analysis will allow you to better understand the intricacies
of my personality as it pertains to the professional world. In this document, you will find all the
pertinent information from what I learned about myself through self-assessment and audience
analysis.

The first place I looked was at the CareerLeader CultureMatch which detailed what kinds of
environments would pose the best fit for my personality. I discovered that an organization rich in
collaboration and consideration matched my personality to a high degree. I would agree with this
assessment because I value a harmonious, friendly work environment above all else. Next, I
ranked very low for extraversion and decisiveness, most likely due to my quiet, passive nature.
Though I do not mind working in a group, I find my voice tends to be drowned out by the
super-achievers who thrive on competition and domination.

Moving forward, I landed right in the middle of the spectrum for the innovation and change
category of organization culture. I feel comfortable with this ranking because I get quite excited
by new experiences, and I am a quick learner. However, sometimes I find it hard to branch out of
my comfort zone which limits the amount of change that I see day to day. I am a quick learner,
so I welcome change and the challenges that come with it.

Lastly, I received a low ranking in the precision and planning category. While I am a careful
person, I tend to view planning as unnecessary and time-wasting. My preferred method of
learning is to do my best and make mistakes along the way so that I can learn from them and
become better at whatever I am doing. I am a very in-the-moment kind of person, so planning
far into the future just does not come naturally to me. With all this information put together, I
have a better idea of what types of organizational environments best fit personality.

At my core, the character aspects that I value most are compassion, critical thinking, and
creativity. I have a high capacity for empathy which allows me to find great insight when dealing
directly with others. I desire to be a considerate person who would not harm others in any way.
Though I do not practice religion to this day, I was raised within a faith that heavily valued
compassion and altruism, and that is why I strive to always help as much as I can.

As an individual, I recognize the immense need for critical thinking in all aspects of life. I am
one to very frequently exercise my individuality by doing exactly what I believe to be right, not
what others opine. I am not quick to spew my opinion on topics, but rather I prefer to collect as
much information as possible before reaching a conclusion. I believe in the benefits of
introspection, and I am very open to criticism from all sources. To put it shortly, I am a thinker,
not a talker.
I believe that creativity is the value that is the hardest to achieve, yet the most rewarding. I find
that I am much more motivated when I can inject a bit of my own personality into a project. I
highly value the idea of thinking outside of the box, and I strive to think of new ways of looking
at things. I will use these three values to drive myself to become the best I can possibly be as I
grow professionally.

When conducting an audience analysis, I outlined my key target audiences as current employers,
potential employers, coworkers, peers, family, and friends. I found that my desired perception
differed based on the environment whether it be professional or personal. For example, I would
like to be known professionally for my competence and knowledge as well as my ability to help
others. Meanwhile, in a personal setting, I prefer to be a comfortable person to talk to who is
always fun to be around. Though one thing is true for all audiences: I want everyone to smile
when they see me, whether it be because of my terrific work record or just because they are
happy to be in the presence of such a pleasant person.

The next step I took was to analyze the methods in which I use to communicate with these
audiences. Given the plethora of communication methods available today, I have had the chances
to pick the ones I feel to be most reliable. Firstly, I am a face-to-face communication type of
person. It is where I feel most comfortable because I get to read others body language and my
communication is clearest when speaking directly. My most reliable method of communication
is through phone conversation, whether it be voice or text. I tend to avoid media such as
Facebook and Twitter because I see it as a very shallow reflection of the person. I have never
sought to have the most followers or the most friends on any social media platform, and I am
disappointed that it is considered normal nowadays to publish ones entire life online. However, I
am currently working on implementing a LinkedIn profile for my professional persona.

Through these analyses, I have noticed some common themes across my core values, my
personal culture recommendations, and my audiences perceptions. First, the idea of connection
with others was present in most aspects of this reflection. I scored high in the collaboration and
consideration category of the CultureMatch, and I also noted compassion and helpfulness as core
values. This pattern may have arisen because I desire an environment where everyone is helpful
and considerate towards others. I also found that I am averse to high-risk social situations which
may explain the low ranking for extraversion and decisiveness as well as my disregard for online
social platforms.

I hope this in-depth analysis into my own character and personality has been as enlightening to
you as it has been for me. I learned so much about myself that I may not have realized otherwise.
For example, I am now aware of what types of professional environments to strive towards and
which ones to avoid. I also learned that my digital profile is a bit lacking, and I may have to
update a few profiles to fit the perception I wish to portray to my audiences. If you have any
