THE STAMP (2BALOCHISTAN AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1983

(Baln XIV of 1983)

[4th September, 1983]

An Ordinance further to amend the Stamp Act, 1899, in


its application to the Province of Balochistan.

Preamble. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Stamp


Act, 1899 (II of 1899), in its application to the Province of
Balochistan, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
AND WHEARE, the Governor is satisfied that
circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate
action;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers
conferred by Article 128 of the Constitution, read with Article 2
of the Provisional Constitution Order, 1981 (C.M.L.A. Order
No. 1 of 1981), the Governor of Balochistan is pleased to make
and promulgate the following Ordinance:-

Short title end 1. (1) This Ordinance may be called Stamp


commencemen (Balochistan Amendment) Ordinance, 1983.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

Amendment of 2. In the Stamp Act, 1899 (II of 1899), in Schedule-I, after


Schedule I to item 27, the following new item shall be inserted under the
Act II of 1899. respective heading:-

Description of Instrument. Proper Stamp duty.


27-A. Participation Term The same duty as is leviable
Certificate. on a Debenture of the same
value.
