The chamber, as per usual in any deal of this type, would be submitting the response to the REP. Its
my understanding that this is confidential for competitive reasons, but in any case the Mayors
office is not the right place for your request. If you would like Mike Rollins to turn you down himself,
he is copied on this email.
Hey Jason,
Im wondering: whats the possibility of you guys sending me a copy of the citys application
to Amazon for their HQ2? think it could make for a really interesting article that highlights
what the city is offering. Id apprecite working with the city on this.

The chamber has been submitting proposals on behalf of the many partners involved. No problem
on questions.

So its confidential for competitive reasons. Who exactly submits the response? The City of Austin?
The Chamber?
Sorry for the questions. These nuances help answer the reporter in a way that benefits all of us.
Communities will use the info to fine tune a better proposal so it is important for competitive
reasons to keep it confidential plus I dont believe the city will be submitting the proposal. It will
take more partnerships than just the city to be successful. Real estate, other entities that provide
value to the project will be involved.

Please help me understand who requires the confidentiality only so I can explain to the reporter why
he cant see the response.
Jason,
Rereading this it appears he wants you to tell him what the city will submit. The answer should be
the proposal is not due until Oct 19 anyway. It is confidential info until such time the company
decides on Austin as a location then it becomes a public process.

If I understand the question correctly, the answer is that Amazon has made public on their website the Rf P that
asked all interested communities to complete and submit. Sorry if I am missing something.
