THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN PLAY


ACTIVITIES ON THE COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF PRE-
SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN 3-6 YEARS IN BINA HARAPAN
VILLAGE OF ARCAMANIK SUBDISTRICT 2017

The results of the SDIDTK 2016 Bina harapan Village showed 57% of the target of
90% obtain health services and obtained 18% have distorted the data. Cognitive
development in influenced by the role of parents in play any activity so that the
activities of the playground has educational value. This study aimed is to determine
correlation between the role of parents in play activities on the cognitive
development of pre-school aged children 3-6 years in village of Bina Harapan
Arcamanik district. The type of this research is a descriptive correlation with cross
sectional approach. The population study as much 702, with purposive sampling
method of data collection so that the retrieved 88 respondents. Instruments in this
study using questionnaire HOME Inventory for ages 3-6 and the Denver II. Analysis
of the data using chi-square fisher exact test. Results of the study showed, parents
who play an active role in the activities of the playground as much as 57 (64,8%),
levels of cognitive development of the child as much as 67 (76.1%), showed optimal
cognitive development, the correlation between the role of parents in play activities
on the cognitive development of pre-school aged children 3-6 years has a p-value
0.000 Counclusion there is the correlation between the role of parents in play
activities on the cognitive development of pre-school aged children 3-6 years in
village of Bina Harapan Arcamanik subdistrict of Bandung city. Therefore, nursing
services can maintain the level of cognitive development of children by giving
current information to parents.

Hasil SDIDTK tahun 2016 Desa Bina Harapan menunjukan 57% dari target 90%
memperoleh pelayanan kesehatan dan didapatkan 18% memiliki data yang menyimpang.
Perkembangan kognitif di pengaruhi oleh peranan orang tua dalam setiap kegiatan bermain
agar kegiatan bermain anak memiliki nilai edukatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengetahui hubungan peran orang tua dalam kegiatan bermain terhadap perkembangan
kognitif anak usia pra sekolah 3 6 tahun di desa bina harapan kecamatan arcamanik. Jenis
penelitian ini berupa deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi
penelitian sebanyak 702, dengan metode pengumpulan data purposive sampling sehingga
diperoleh 88 responden. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner The Early
Childhood HOME Inventory for 3-6 ages dan Denver II. Analisa data menggunakan chi-
square fisher exact test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, orang tua yang berperan aktif dalam
kegiatan bermain anak sebanyak 57 (64,8%), tingkat perkembangan kognitif anak
sebanyak 67 (76,1%), menunjukan perkembangan kognitif yang optimal, Hubungan antara
peran orang tua dalam kegiatan bermain terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia pra
sekolah 3-6 tahun memiliki p-value 0,000. Kesimpulannya adalah terdapat hubungan
antara peran orang tua dalam kegiatan bermain dengan perkembangan kognitif anak usia
pra sekolah 3 6 tahun di desa bina harapan kecamatan arcamanik. Oleh karena itu,
pelayanan keperawatan dapat mempertahankan tingkat perkembangan kognitif anak
dengan cara memberi informasi terkini kepada orang tua.
