Mustapha socialization is the process where individuals learn about the culture of their society
Social media has connected billions of individuals all over the world. It still has a positive
and negative impact on the social behaviour of others. Positive impact would be as follows:
social interaction of members of a society who have common values and beliefs. The
common value and beliefs constitute a collective conscience that works internally.
Organic solidarity on the other hand is the social integration that arises out of the need of
individuals for a service. In our Caribbean social media sites are commonly used to
network by millions of people. Businesses use networking to achieve both internal and
external growth.
Erving Goffman looks at Presentation of Self this is where in early life individuals learn
about his or her presentation of self in order to create distinctive appearances and satisfy
interaction. We imagine how we appear and how others judge our appearance. In our
