FRL (Filter regulator lubricator)

NOTE: Equipment working will stop automatically above 6 kg/cm2

FRL (Filter regulator lubricator)

Air Filter

The air filter is installed at the inlet to prevent moisture & dust contained in compressed air from
entering the pneumatic control circuit.

A 5m element has been employed as a standard for the air filters nominal filtration rating and
this nominal filtration rating is compatible with most general purpose pneumatic equipment.

To clean filter it is required to remove bottom bowl.

Use compressed air to clean filter. Fit it after cleaning. This process should be repeated every 60
days.

REGULATOR

In pneumatic control equipment, a regulator or other pressure control valves are used since the
pressure of air from an air compressor need to be reduced to a specific level according to the
purpose of use.

In regulator it is required to set the pressure 6 kg/cm2 with help of setting knob.

Pressure setting in pressure switch is 6kg/cm2 .This setting is fixed and need not to change on
site. If pressure in line goes beyond this limit (6kg/cm2 ),then air supply will be cut-off
automatically & vibrator movement will also stop both in auto and manual modes. A red light
indication will come on the control panel showing high pressure.

Pressure will be display on digital display.

LUBRICATOR

Lubricator does the job of mixing the oil mist with air flow which provides the lubrication to the
pneumatic cylinder.

For proper working of lubricator, the oil cup must be sufficiently filled with the lubricating oil.

The level of oil in the cup must be in between the lowest level mark & the highest level mark.

Use only recommended lubricant i.e.CLASS 1 TURBINE OIL (ISO VG32) .

Set the lubrication rate 1 drop/minute with the knob.

If the above operational requirements are followed, then life & working of the equipment will be
enhanced
