Design of Main Truss

For Design of Main truss conservatively span is taken as 17.7 m. So Design can be adopted for smaller length.
Loads on the main truss
Spacing between two Truss 6m
Spacing between two Purlin 1m
Dead Load calculation
Length of purlin 6m
Weight of purlin 40 kg/m
240 Kg
2.4 kN
Load due to metal sheet and bracing
Metal sheet 171 N/m^2
Bracing 14 N/m^2
Total load per node 1.4364 KN
Load due to fall ceiling and services 2 KN

Live load 0.75 KN./m^2

Total live load (per node) 4.5 KN

Wind Load
At 0 degree 4.5 KN
At 90 Degree 6 KN

As Structure is completely covered, considering the opening of area 5% wind load is calculated. Lateral load due to wind
by Bracing.

Deflection Check

Maximum Deflection = 25.06 mm

Maximum SLS Deflection is = 16.71 mm
Allowable deflection = L/300 = 56.67 mm OK
Design Utility Ratio

As Utility Ration is not Exceeding the permissible limit Designed members are safe.

Reaction on support System

Due to Wind load maximum obtained upward forces is 70kN. Anchor for the given forces has to be design.

Adequacy of anchor bolt

Tension capacity of Anchor bolt
Bolt dia = 16 mm

Length (Has to be verified) = 200 mm
Perimeter = 50.2654825 mm
Total contact area = 10053.0965 mm2

Tensile forces in the top chord = 70 KN

Design of bearing assembly

To get the maximum lateral forces support condition is taken as the fixed.
Bearing assembly Cater for the 187.145KN force.

Lateral Load at support(ULS) = 190 KN

Lateral Load at support(SLS) = 126.666667
Design of welded connection

Design of bracket supporting main truss

Support reaction from the roof truss is directly applied to the bracket. Where as bracing system in roof will contribute In th
longitude/Transverse load. As a result load intensity will reduce to certain extent.
