has moved swiftly ahead, in its short span, promoting all round

communication systems, Digital Communication Systems,

Engineering of Ponjesly College of Engineering has attained top rank position in Anna University Mechanical Engineering Program and
consistently ranked as one of the toppest Mechanical Engineering Departments in the State. Our Teaching and Research facilities are the most

Every year the department of Humanities and Science welcomes the fresher to the new environment in their lives. Transition from DEPARTMENT OF
school life to the professional college life is very important and the experienced faculty of the department carefully deals with them through
advice and proper counseling, to make them t into the new environment.
MANAGEMENT STUDIES
A bridge course is conducted as soon as the rst year students are admitted in order to help the Tamil medium students and those who
need the help so as to make them cope with the new academic set up.
Continuous and periodic evaluation of the performance of the students is taken care of and special coaching for the weak students is
arranged and done successfully. Much attention is given to discipline and overall development of the personality of the students. The programme on Management Studies commenced during the academic year 2009-2010. Well qualied and experienced
teaching faculty impart effective training to could the students to develop themselves as professional managers and executives to
meet the needs and expectations of the business world.
Graduating students are awarded Master of Business Administration degree from Anna University, Chennai which has
the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE).
In the Ponjesly College of Engineering the MBA course starts with an ice-breaking Preparatory Course for about two
weeks, to prepare the students with different academic backgrounds to come in terms on a common platform. The preparatory
course includes development of soft skills such as communication, problem solving and behavioral skills. Moreover the
approach increasingly emphasizes the participant centered learning rather than faculty driven learning. The pedagogy
accordingly includes interactive learning through case studies, group discussions, projects, seminars and business games.

The Department of Automobile Engineering was started in the year 2013. It is growing under the
able guidance of efficient and experienced faculty. All the required facilities are added along with
the existing infrastructure and laboratories. The objective of the department has been focussed
to provide the students of Automobile Engineering with learning facilities comparable to world
class standards for designing and manufacturing of automobiles using Pro-E, ADAMS,
CAD/CAM RPT to import knowledge to design vehicles with lesser pollution and better safety
standards, and knowledge to build hybrid vehicles and to use alternative sources of energy.
The central library (area 10000 Sq.Ft) has extensive collection of more than 40,000 books in the eld of engineering disciplines, and also
management science.The library subscribes to a number of popular periodicals,National and International journals. The Library is
digitalized with initialization of Techfocuz DigitalLibrary 3.03 software. We have made On line subscription such as IEEE, SPRINGER,
